He's gonna get absolutely fuckin' planked.  This don't go the distance, Canelo will sleep him.

Thats because he's got talent but couldn't sell cake to fat kid. His interviews are the absolute worst. He needs Paul Haymon lol

'he's a throwback to the days of Ali, of Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns', he's said that about Crawford, about Lomachenko, about Pacquiao, its his fuckin' go to line.

  2. He didn't have one   He tends to like Soul, Motown, that kind of thing.  Odds songs here and there, stuff that was in the charts in the 70s and 80s, like Without You by Harry Nilsson, Those Were the Days by Mary whatsherface that Paul McCartney signed to Apple, Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks.  All just little bits and bobs from the 70s.  Not really big into music I think, only ever listened to it on the radio or in clubs I think.  Every so often he'll hear a song or remember one and go 'I used to like that'.  Certainly no rock bands or anything like that.  Mostly Soul and black American singers and that I suppose.

  3. Rock star hasn't been cool since the 70s or 80s, both in terms of cultural currency and the actual doing of the job.  Reminds me of a thing I once heard Orson Welles say (cuz we were good mates, me and Orson).  He was being asked about movie stars, the golden era etc and whether they were truly that great etc and he said yes they were, followed by 'when the greatest thing in the world is to be a movie star, thats when you get great movie stars' and I think the same applies to a lot of different fields, including rock stars.  If you look at it, your greatest rock stars came in an era where we had a culture where there was a lot of cultural currency in being a rockstar, the best albums were coming out, they were kind of on the cutting edge in terms of popular culture, they were afforded umpteen luxuries and lived these kind of cool bohemian lives.  Pop music doesn't really matter that much anymore, sad as that is to a lover of it such as myself, same with movies, you won't get Errol Flynns and Robert Mitchums that live these swashbuckling lifestyles etc, they were afforded the oppertunity to be that way because in society the greatest thing to be in the 30s/40s was a movie star.

Who wants to be a fuckin' rockstar now?  You're extremely unlikely to be top of the charts or very popular, there's nothing like the million of bajillions in pop music in general now for you to be able to live a Mick Jaggery lifestyle and get up to the crazy shenanigans, so whats left?  A lot of hard slog really.

Is WBO considered championship caliber amongst those who truly follow?

Well...its considered the softer ones isn’t it, or was, it just depends I suppose, I mean I remember a time when IBF was thought of as a bit mickey mouse, at any rate its a recognised title at world level and he’s still undefeated, its there to be proven.  Its not like he’s Eubank Jnr flashing his IBO about the place.

I got Kell to win tonight, he's a massive underdog! I can't believe ESPN has Crawford as the #1 P4P fighter in the world. Utterly insane!

7 to 1 last I looked, was 8 before that, been toying with sticking some money on but I’m not a big fan of flushing money down the toilet.  hes not a bad shout for pound for pound, he cleared his division, went up a weight and undefeated so far as that weight, world champion to boot, wouldn’t say the level of competition has always been upper percentile though, who would you have for No 1 pound for pound?  Personally I think pound for pound is a bit of a joke, a bit illusory, difficult to argue against Canelo Alvarez though I would say.  Errol Spence has gotta be up there too.

Socrates? Arguably the best Brazilian side ever - certainly better than the 1994 one - and they didn't win a crumb. There are a lot of ''great'' teams who didn't quite make it. The Hungarians of the '50s and Dutch of the 1970s deserve mentions.

My point is, great as they were (and they were great) they addressed whatever lackings they had as a national team and went on to win, we don't do that.  We have a different footballing culture here and the issues are from like...youth training levels up.

It is unbelievable really that England have only won a competition once years ago. For how big football is and how much it dominates everything. Plus have never even been in another final.

Its not really, fact is football doesn’t evolve in this country, from the ground level up, the krauts, the brazillians, all the countries with a storied history in football, they change, they evolve, we were playing basically the same kinda football we played in the 60s in the 90s.

Take a country like Brazil, that amazing 80s generation who didn’t win nothing, were criticized for being defensively susceptible, addressed the issues, came back and smashed it, England just always played long ball take their legs out look at us we’re so hard type football, thats why were never win nothing.

The Granny went by the nickname "Auld slapper" around Liverpool apparently she was a well known bit of old minge.

I'm not sure she actually went by that nickname or whether thats just The Suns headline

'Helen has since written a tell all book', whoose gonna read a fuckin' book written by a brass about shagging Wayne Rooney?  What could there possibly be in it, how long could it be?  'Wayne used to pop round 4 times a week to give me a seeing to' The End.

Chelsea have a very monied-up ''Essex'' veneer whilst Manchester United are the quintessential plastic ''prawn sandwich'' team. Both are repellent, although in the days before Abromi-whatshisface, Chelsea were easier to ignore.

All of the above is true but I was talking more along the lines of like...historically Chelsea fans, Headhunters and all that, were sort of big fat smelly pie monster racists   Whereas United fans, going way back now, were some of the earliest football hooligans, The Red Devils, if I'm not mistaken, I might be, I'm not a United historian, is a cute and cuddley name but it has its roots in hooliganism, I believe that was the name of their firm.

Arsenals fanbase, historically, has always been a weird mish-mash of foreigners, probably something to do with the population of that part of London, all Turks and Irish and black lads and...just a weird mix.  The Seven Sisters Road is like that even today, when you look at the shops, its Turkish gaffs and Jewish and...I dunno, just all sorts.  Then of course Wenger came and the foreigner association grew even more.  Very much of a community though, moreso during Highbury days.

Never really that good at hooliganism either though they had their moments   Gooners, again, another term thats all cute and cuddley now has its roots in the Arsenal firm from back in the day.

That's always been Chelsea for me, cunts to a man. John Terry, Dennis Wise, Frank Lampard all cunts. Even Zola who is supposed to be this super friendly guy. Ugly horse faced little midget cunt.

Both teams not exactly known for being pleasant, thats squad and fans.  And thats not a dig to any fan on here I just meant historically, United were the first team with a firm if I’m not mistaken and Chelsea, well, everyone knows about Chelsea.

Did he use that exact phrase, holidays in the sun?  If so that makes sense of a certain Sex Pistols song.

Stop whining about the past. Get with the times. We are in 2020 and have Rashford on the team. A national fucking hero. He gets school food for poor children. And adorable Greenwood. Just an innocent kid. Got framed in Iceland. And funky Fred. Get with the times. Just a bunch of lovable, heroic kids.

Alright, lets get with the times, we’re both shit   Bit shit innit?
