  1. Working as a journo fucking drains the life out of me certain days. Calling every single person of relevance under the sun for a semi-local story, and if the person doesn’t respond they just immediately greet you with hostility for no reason. Get a grip for Christ’s sake! All you’re needed for is a quote or two for some happy-go-lucky news story, just say "Oh yeah this is a positive development for blah blah blah" or something. Also hilarious how some people start avoiding talking to you after you start working as a journo. Relax, chill, not a single soul cares enough to get ya for anything. People just do their jobs to make a living, like everyone else duuuuh.
  2. LOVE how much more audible the strings are in the live recording. Really contextualizes the part we heard for so many years.
  3. That dude must have ascended into a whole new universe of ecstasy
  4. Can’t believe all the streams went out for this Ladies and gentlemen THE GENERAL!!!! We’re in a whole new world now
  5. Oh yeah woo yeah oh yeah woo yeah oh yeah woo yeah oh yeah woo yeah
  6. Fuuuckin' uni. Thought I was in for 24/7 clubbing, jamming with strangers and chatting up the beauty from across the hall. I gotta book some new shows, man. Can't keep dicking around like this
  7. Saw clips of that musical montage online. Absolutely incredible looking game
  8. The chorus and outro of The General is something else. I love how Axl's voice starts blending into the guitars during the outro.
  9. Crazy that we've finally heard both The General and Soul Monster. I was never particularily anxious to hear Soul Monster for whatever reason, and ironically enough it turned out that Soul Monster is the song I assumed The General was.
  10. Same here. I must've looked like a tweaked out addict when I excused myself to stay in the restroom for a good few minutes.
  11. Love Richard’s licks on the end of Monsters. He has a surprisingly distinct style
  12. 1. Hard Skool 2. Absurd 3. State of Grace 4. Perhaps 5. P.R.L 6. Zodiac 7. Tonto 8. Me & My Elvis 9. Atlas Shrugged 10. Quicksong 11. As It Began 12. Thyme 13. The General 14. Monsters
  13. I hope these songs were in some way healing to write, considering how cathartic a listen it seems to befor many others. Haunting and beautiful.
  14. The ''what I did for you'' vocal portion of Monsters has to be the most gut wrenching cathartic singing I ever heard from Axl Rose. I'm just at a loss for words right now
  15. Just like mentioned, this is the most beautiful art crafted by GN'R since Estranged imo. This is all I ever wanted from GN'R, this is exactly the evolution I wish they followed through on with Chinese Democracy. This is the first time in years a GN'R song made me cry (excluding live perfomances). Monsters was nearly all I ever wanted and hoped for, and the emotions I went through listening to it is something I'll probably never experience again. For me it's completely unbelievable how GN'R hid these songs for so long, and it makes me respect the inital vision of ChiDem even more. Especially happy to have ol' Pele proven wrong It's just so bizarre. Finally we heard The General and all nine(!) minutes of it (I consider those two songs a package ). We're officially in the post-General world now. It's been a wild fucking ride, thanks MyGNR for all the laughs
  16. Monsters may be top three GN'R songs for me. How did this not make it to ChiDem??? Holy fucking shit fucking fuck fucking hell fucking beat my skull into shattered pieces what a piercing god damn bad ass tune. GUNS N FUCKING ROSES
