And people want to know why I lost interest in this band. lol

Here is a guy who once derided Slash for "whoring" himself out to pop acts, and other figures like Michael Jackson. Now, he's on stage, dressed like a game-show host, singing with schlocky, plastic country singers.

    Sigh.

If anyone needs me, I'll be down here in the basement, watching the Ritz, and pretending they broke up after '93.

There's a difference between guesting for a friend at their own show and playing the Superbowl while wearing a bedazzled top hat and having the singer ruin the song while simultaneously trying to dance like Axl and grind on you.

As for new (not ChiDem) music, Slash said they would focus on that after the next tour (which has just been announced). So if we are going to take Slash's words at face value, the band will begin the process of writing new songs for a new album at the end of this year or sometime in 2024. This is the first time Slash (or any member of the band) has given a concrete answer on plans for new music. So it's really idiotic to continue to discuss/debate/argue over whether new music has been recorded, or if they plan to, or if they are going to ever, etc. Slash has confirmed there is no new music currently, and they haven't started writing new music, and they will begin that process after the 2023 tour. We have to now wait for an update.

Yep. The only material that can realistically be debated about before then are a few CD leftovers since Slash said there are about four left to release (if i remember correctly).

From your experience, what's the best time for getting a lithograph? What time does the merch opens?

    From an anecdotal Aussie perspective...

In 2017, I was around the area of the stadium early and picked up my lithos and merch around midday, then dropped them off, and went back to the concert closer to start time.

Last year, I went about an hour before doors opened and picked up my litho and merch then. Most people lined up for merch after the concert.

Its time to face Axls voice is absolutely gone...I don't want to rate his performance during Presleys funeral, but taking away the fact of his great gesture, heart and emotions, only saying this in this particular forum, we must admit his voice is long gone. If he isnt capable of sounding strong in this register for only one song (I know it wasnt a show) it means he can no longer do it.

    Im very sad about it.

I repeat this once more, I'm not taking any shot at Axl, it was very nice what he did for his friend; but his singing speaks for itself in terms of vocal range/power/drive.

Axl's register on NR isn't great at the best of times, and all things considered, I think he did a decent job. His performance wasn't the strongest because he was emotional and likely didn't get any vocal warmups done. Plus, I think the mics were a bit poor/flat for all performers on the day too.

  5. As much as I love Izzy, the simple point is he is not a business partner of GNR, and was likely not offered a permanent spot to play during the NITL tour (since Richard is a more reliable and cheaper alternative). More than likely, Axl, Slash and Duff would have offered Izzy something similar to Steven, where he would play a few songs on some shows or legs.

By these standards, it makes sense for GNR's partnership and management not to 'split the loot'. But it also makes sense that it would piss Izzy off since he was more of an integral member than Steven was.
