It looks legit to me, but as we know, there's a lot of weird fakes with this sort of thing.

I think the moment for Perhaps is long past personally. That it wasn't played from the start of the tour or after a couple of shows was probably the moment gone. That it's no longer being soundchecked probably says it all.

I guess our hope now is for a debut on the US leg. I think it's almost guaranteed we will get Perhaps eventually, but as we know with HS, there could very well be a few years wait between soundcheck and release, lol.

That's exactly what i was feeling lately, it's been ages since they soundchecked Perhaps, just when things started to get real.

A lot of hints, a lot of rumors, and lot of articles on notable websites about all of them. Maybe the words of the sound technician were the straw that broke the camel's back.

So maybe a dumbass started to feel anxious and scraped the whole thing, and the other two are too afraid to do something about it ???

I don't know, that setlist feels legit, who would take the time to replicate the format exactly as the real and then not include Perhaps or The General? It'd be missing the whole purpose of trolling with a setlist.

It couldn't have been Mayhue's comments that altered plans and the setlist because this setlist was allegedly for Paris, which was the show at which Mayhue made those comments.

I don't think the setlist feels legit, apart from it structure (smaller font in the alt list and the city/date in the footer), but there have been numerous GNR fans who have been obsessed with making lists over the last few years, so I wouldn't completely doubt that someone would fake this.

Either way, we saw Perhaps and The General in GNR's official Instagram story the show before Paris, so not all hope is lost.

Playing devil's advocate here..... that's the setlist for that one show, so it COULD still be in the mix. Locomotive, Walk All Over, TWAT, Sorry etc aren't on that list either and they've been played.

Being less conciliatory..... I think 'plans changed' too. Which is beyond fucking frustrating.

If plans changed, then that must have happened before the recent news re Mayhue since the setlist is allegedly for Paris.

I'm not convinced the setlist is legitimate, but even if it is, it doesn't change much anyway. As you said, it's for one show, and funnily enough, GNR played many songs that night which are not on this setlist.

I think it’s time to doubt the possibility of new music on this tour. A setlist has been found from a recent show and Perhaps and The General are no longer on it. Also, Perhaps has not been soundchecked in a number of shows- it’s safe to say that “plans changed” at this point.

This setlist indicates it was for Paris, but it was the show before Paris that we saw Perhaps and The General on the song cards in GNR's Instagram story. I'm going to accept that video as more credible than this setlist, especially since we don't know the provenance of this setlist and the fact that it lists 4 songs in both the main and alt areas and misspells Nightrain. Even if it is legit, we know GNR members have said numerous times they don't have a set in stone setlist, so maybe the new songs are fluid depending on how the band is feeling at each show.

Towards the end of this year Perhaps and maybe the general come out. The release is botched because the Cd's and records are ready 3 months after the songs go to streaming, Creative Works London videos go up on youtube for both songs. Slash has reworked solo's @Sweersa head exploads.

People tour with solo projects when GN'R is off the road, Axl hibernates like an owl & perhaps wakes up and sits at a piano to see if he can come up with something. After several months comes up with part of a bridge or intro that will probably never be used.

When solo projects finish touring Slash brings in 47 songs to play Axl of which he likes 3 or 4. Duff Brings in 28 songs and Axl likes 2. Those songs push anything Richard has like Tonto of the next reccord but he says nothing.

Slash buys a snakeskin covered metronome for Frank as a guesture of good will.

To tide over the fanbase Berlin is released along with Atlas Shrugged with Brian Mays parts removed and instead a solo made up of parts by Gary Sunshine, Buckethead, Paul Huge Robin Fink and John 5 is used. Slash cries in media about how he was not informed of Paul Huges involvement, Both songs are actually delayed for 2 years and 3 months as somebody forgets to pay Caram.

Slash get frustrated at the lack of progress and leaves. He goes on to state in the media "All things considered, it's like playing with Guns to stadiums is not fun in the grand scheme of things, so i'm just going to play clubs & it will like $2 per ticket" The media falls in love with him again because he seems more grounded to the common working class man. He then creates a pinball machine that retails for $34,000. The media ignore this.

    Traci Guns rejoins.

Ronnie wood has a baby with Melissa Reece.

    and so forth...

This reads like a @Karice fever dream.

If only people didn't jump to conclusions so easily...

It it was Fernando who said it, it could very well be about the jacket (in fact, it would be more likely than anything else).

But Duff wouldn't refer to merchandise as "news". It may be tour dates, of course, or some release other than new music. But not merch.

You're right. Merchandise is not really news, let alone news for a German audience that would be worth broaching seemingly unprompted to a journalist. As for tour dates, it wouldn't be news for a German audience either unless they related to Germany/Europe. Duff is unlikely to be referring to new tour dates given Europe is almost over and they wouldn't announce new shows for later on while on a current tour.

They could have still been mixed in LA

Right, but the specific material done during COVID should already be mastered and in the chamber unless they are still tinkering with it, right? Slash's comments implied they had already gone through and done the work on the 6 or so Chinese stuff, so I wonder if this is newer (re-recorded or other) stuff they have mixed in LA.

But why would they had a guy who is an expert on _live_ sound engineering come down for this, and why is it emphasized that they were getting prepared for Glastonbury? The more I think about this, with help from @Blackstar, it sounds like this was just to listen to live mixes to be absolutely ready for Glasto.

This sounds like the most likely answer to me.

In Gnrevolution there is a guy who have worked out with some programmes and has some videos where It seems the drum loop from the soundcheck of last year was the same or so similar to the cell clip from The General.

Also seems that he has achieved to get some lyrics:

Now those put it down now,  can't get out

There's no escaping now,  down in the fucking ground

    Anarchy, Anarchy,

We put out too many stumble in this world and I'll make It now

Now fucking strip those, seems we got no time

Have to hide the truth, I bet Your handling inside

Let go off me, now you said that you're loved

Does this Burn?, Does this Burn?

Baby I know what you're thinking

It seems convincing to me. They are doing some good work over there.

Yeah the Spotify thing is irrelevant. The only true indicator of a song coming soon is if it is in linkfire, which is not the case yet for Perhaps and The General.

Yep, and I wouldn't be surprised if GNR's marketing team caught on to the fact that we could tell in advance and will now decrease the time between their publishing of the linkfire pages and the release of the singles.

I never missed Bumble. An example of being too open and willing to talk constantly. By 2011 and his public comments about the touring and lack of new music, I've never understood why Axl allowed it. To the point where he was essentially saying "fuck this band", happy to go on stage and get his pay check though! Then dragging out his departure. At least Ashba did his in a dignified way.

Bumblefoot was a legend who was open with the fans and for that he deserves credit. I much prefer his modus operandi to this clandestine shit we've had to deal with for 7 years.
