This was written by a PR person who likely has no knowledge of what actually happened.
Businesses should have crisis communications plans in situations like this... no doubt GNR wouldn't have any though, lol. Poor PR officer probably had to knock this out in the last hour with no info or strategy behind it.

I feel incredibly bad for Kat but I also feel sorry for the band as now they will have this attention when this is nothing to do with them, the name will sadly be dragged through with this story all because of this gross, pathetic, desperate man.
It has everything to do with the band. Fernando is their manager, and Beta knew of this situation, so no doubt Axl did too. Was anything done to alleviate the issue? No. There wasn't even any business protocols in place to deal with workplace situations like this. Complete amateurish behaviour. Team Brazil and the band deserve everything they get from this.

Rolling Stone article on the subject, with a 'statement' from the GNR camp...
In a statement shared with Rolling Stone, Guns N’ Roses said, “Ms. Benzova was initially contracted to provide tour photography services for Guns N’ Roses in 2010. She worked with the band for 12 years and was paid and treated extraordinarily well. It was only after her services were discontinued in 2022 that she attempted to claim ownership in photos, which her contract clearly states are owned by the band. The band takes these types of claims very seriously, however, all evidence establishes these accusations are categorically and unequivocally false. This response from her comes after the band initiated suit against Ms. Benzova for falsely asserting ownership in the photos of the band.”

I don't get it. Ok, she didn't wanna get fired or thrashed or whatever, but if she gathered enough evidence and then showed it to Duff or Slash secretly, are you telling me they wouldn't have lifted a finger??
Slash and Duff wouldn't rock the boat, especially with people as close to Axl as Fernando and Team Brazil.

I am a firm believer that Axl respects all women wether cis or trans, in this world. He'll step forward and dismiss Fernando.
Axl's history proves quite the opposite. He also rewards loyalty above all else. There is zero chance Fernando will be fully dismissed as he should be. At most, he would likely be relegated to a background position.

Fernando's alleged behaviour shows a long history of targeted abuse and manipulation. Surely he must go now. There is no excuse.

Maybe hiring Melisssa was a smokescreen She said they always respected her, not the photographer though.
I just hope she didn't have to put up with Fernando's alleged behaviour...

The interesting thing will be, what if Axl backs Fernando? Could it be the end of the band of Axl backs TB and Slash and Duff back Kat
My bet is silence from the band, and at best, Axl replacing Fernando as manager with Vanessa while giving him a background job. Window dressing and all that.

I wonder what the GTA 6 in-game rock radio stations have in store!
Oh My God reworked for the exclusive GTA 6 release? XDAxl as a radio host again would be a joy
Pretty sure they killed Axl's character off.

I've asked in the lyrics thread but maybe better suited here: regarding The General's lyrics, what does "And not the sordid meaning" means, in the context of the song?
I'm not a native speaker, so not sure I'm getting the meaning right :-)
I commented this in the other thread, but I hear the chorus as this:
My only regret
Is that I never took the time to forget
All those unspoken feelings
That were never spared
At those who understand
Love deserves respect
And not disordered meaningIn this way, the lyrics make sense. His experiences had such a negative impact that his subsequent feelings weren't spared on anyone, even those who understood his pain. To put it simply, he took his anger out on people due to his unspoken feelings, even on those who either loved him or understood him, and he regrets that.

I think the chorus is actually closer to this:
My only regret
Is that I never took the time to forget
All those unspoken feelings
That were never spared
At those who understand
Love deserves respect
And not disordered meaningIn this way, the lyrics make sense. His experiences had such a negative impact that his subsequent feelings weren't spared on anyone, even those who understood his pain. To put it simply, he took his anger out on people, even those who didn't deserve it, and he regrets that.
This video is clearer than most:

Axl: [During band introductions] ...And in absentia, having another bout with her pneumonia is Ms. Melissa Reese. Let me hear a bit for Melissa. Come on... [crowd cheering] We wish her a speedy recovery. This the last show of our tour of the year. I want to thank you for coming out and celebrating it with us. I want to thank our crew for everything they've done to make all of this happen... over the last seven years. I want to thank the band, I want to thank all of our team.
I don't think it means anything really. Axl clearly stipulated it was the last show of the tour for the year. It makes sense to thank the crew for the last seven years since they have been playing consistently. If they are planning a longer break, some of the crew may move on to work on other gigs.

One of the takeaways here is just how much the crowd seemed to have enjoyed it. Surely the smaller venue helps amplify the effects of the crowd reaction, but it seems The General was very well received following the performance. Hopefully it encourages the band to continue playing it and upload it to streaming sites.

My man, they played The General for the first time ever and you're disappointed that Monsters didn't show?

To me the fact that they have been registered together logically means that they are being released together - not as one song, but as part 1 and part 2 on the same release. Unless the registration was a mistake.
At this point, I am thinking that they may just have a whole separate product line for a The General/Monsters release. That could explain the lack of anything other than vinyl for Perhaps.

Given that the band is now playing it live, a proper single release should be expected?

That rare moment where Axl sounds better on the chorus live than on the record. Lol.

On Absurd I suppose she replaced whatever Ptiman played originally, maybe the bridge? I would think that Dizzy plays the main keyboard parts, since he co-wrote the song.
Hard Skool, I have no idea. I didn't even notice there was a keyboard, then people pointed out that there is a keyboard low in the mix, but wouldn't it make more sense if it was Dizzy?
I don't know about the drums on SOYL. I'm not good at noticing differences. But just going by what has been said (Steven said he didn't recognize his drumming on it and Frank, when asked if he was on it, avoided answering and just said "that's a question for management"), I'd say that it could be Frank.
Maybe she added in the school bell, lol.
