  1. Down. They sounded like metal beasts at Download.

Over The Under is a killer record. N.O.D. is my favourite track of theirs right now.

Very good record. They're heading into the studio in the fall to record Down IV.

  2. I liked the album at first, but I find it's getting worse and worse with each listen which is what I was afraid of. It just doesn't sound fresh after a while.

Know Your Enemy has to be one of the worst songs to ever be released to radio. 21 Guns makes me gag after two listens. Before the Lobotomy is an absolute stinker.

Songs like Murder City and Restless Heart Syndrome save this album from being a rotten turd, which is unfortunate.

  3. I actually didn't mind these songs at first. Restless Heart Syndrome and American Eulogy aren't too bad, but I've found myself liking these new songs less and less as I hear them more.

Maybe it's because every single song has to have some acoustic sob introduction and then the electric guitars have to come in at some point. As someone said above, hearing Boulevard of Broken Dreams so many times makes you hear that song in every sappy song Green Day makes from that point and on. It's not like Time of Your Life where it's unique and still holds up today as a really great acoustic song. Now, it's just like these songs have to have acoustics to sound sincere and they flop.

I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of these songs and I'll still listen to the album, but why can't any of these songs have balls? Something to get you pumped a little at least. Instead, they're just sappy and unmemorable. It's unfortunate.

  4. That song was pretty damn shitty.

    This.

No, that song was fucking awesome. Eminem ftw.. Fuck all this wannabe gangster rap, Eminem = King of Rap.

No, I'm sorry. That song was brutal. I'm sure there will be better songs as Eminem usually puts out the shittiest song first.

    Pretty cool album cover, though.

  5. The Czar and Oblivion by themselves make this album a candidate for album of the year.

Oh, and the reason they're experimenting is because they already have their next album written, and it's supposed to be more like Blood Mountain in style. Plus, there's one member of the band (I can't remember who), who doesn't like metal all that much, so it's not like they're trying to dumb down the metal. They're just taking it somewhere else.

  6. Mastodon - Crack the Skye

    Queensrÿche - American Soldier

    Megadeth - TBA

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - TBA

    Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3

    Heaven and Hell - TBA

    Maybe:

Van Halen (Heard they were working on something)

Iron Maiden (I doubt this will happen, but who knows?)

Rush (They have a concept for their next album, but haven't started anything)

Michael Jackson (He's been working on one for a bit now)

Down (They said they had 6 songs recorded already, but they take forever to record)

  7. The Prophet's Song by Queen. I love the song until it gets near the end and many parts are repeated over and over. It's an 8-minute song and most of it is so good, but that part always makes me change it.
