Sabbath is definitely better with Dio, but I still love him in Rainbow. Rising is one of the best albums ever.

Pink Floyd has Dark side of the Moon and the Wall. While Led Zeppelin has....
Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin 2
Led Zeppelin 3
Led Zeppelin 4
And Physical Graffiti.
The Wall is probably Pink Floyd's worst records.
Pink Floyd has:
The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
Ummagumma
Atom Heart Mother
Obscured By Clouds
Dark Side of The Moon
Wish You Were Here
Animals
The Wall
(The Devision Bell)
Good albums, but they still don't compare to Zeppelin's classics. Animals, WYWH, DSotM, and The Wall are all damn good, but still don't have the same stature as the classics from Zeppelin. That's just my opinion, though.

In your thread subtitle it says "vocalist group". In that sense, the Bee Gees damn well deserve to be up there.

This thread is full of win.

You've got Rihanna and Amy Winehouse on there...but no Ozzy...
Shit list.
Will you please shut up about Ozzy?
I'll talk about who I want douche.
I'm just unhappy 'cos this guy actually but artists such as Rihanna before Ozzy, when his album was much better than hers.
But thanks for askin' me atleast...and saying please.
Ozzy has been garbage since he started. In fact, from what I've heard from Black Rain along with what I've heard from Good Girl Gone Bad, Rihanna wins by a landslide. A pretty decent pop album, whereas Ozzy sounds like a wheezing idiot attempting pop-metal. No thanks.
P.S. Snakes & Arrows by Rush, Era Vulgaris by QOTSA, Over the Under by Down, and Raising Sand by Robert Plant/Alison Krauss are the best albums of the year.

Zeppelin>Supertramp>Pink Floyd.

Billy Joel
Michael Jackson
Freddie Mercury
Bruce Dickinson
Geddy Lee
No Robert Plant?
As much as I like his voice, he isn't one of my favourites. Although, the Robert Plant of today may fit into my favourites category after hearing him on Mighty Rearranger and Raising Sand.

Anyone who doesn't like RE4 has no soul.

That was actually a pretty good song. I wasn't expecting much, but it was great.
Well done Q+PR.

This is too hard really. It usually changes, but:
1) Michael Jackson - Thriller (I've now declared this as my favourite all-time album)
2) Billy Joel - The Stranger
3) Rush - Hemipsheres
4) Queensrÿche - Operation: Mindcrime
5) This one is open to whatever my favourite weekly album is. This week it's Promised Land by Queensrÿche.
It's just hard. The first three usually stay there, but the last 2 can change pretty frequently.

lenny's awesome
he put on a good show during the grey cup halftime show today as well
I saw that performance. He was awesome. I don't follow Lenny much, and I don't know a lot of his material, but his playing was simply great.

Subdivisions by Rush:
Sprawling on the fringes of the city
In geometric order
An insulated border
In between the bright lights
And the far unlit unknown
Growing up it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future pre-decided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass production zone
Nowhere is the dreamer or the misfit so alone
[Chorus:]
(Subdivisions)
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
(Subdivisions)
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
Any escape might help to smooth the unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth
Drawn like moths we drift into the city
The timeless old attraction
Cruising for the action
Lit up like a firefly
Just to feel the living night
Some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights...

How Maiden can cork out an album like this after all these years is incredible.
However, I'm hoping that Bruce will focus on another solo album once Maiden's done touring in 2008.
Nope, we were promised a new Bruce solo album by the end of 2008 along with his Alestair Crowley movie but niether will happen apparently. After they're done with the Soemwhere Back In Time tour it will be a quick break before a new (final?) album is written in the winter
Well, I guess I can survive with a new Maiden album haha. I heard they'd do one more at least. They better go out huge.
I personally don't think it will be their last album, I would guess at least one more after the next one. A lot of people take it that when Steve said his goal was to make 15 alubms, that's all he would make.
Yeah, I remember Steve saying that around the release of AMOLAD. I'm definitely hoping for at least 2 more albums. Since Bruce and Adrian returned, the albums have been spectacular. I just hope Kevin Shirley does a little better job mastering the albums in the future.

But Robert Plant has a tour booked for next year with Allison Krauss.
But if they went, why not have an opening act? I don't care who it is, it helps to build up the last-minute anticipation. Besides, with tickets probably costing $500-$700, then $1,500+ for VIP, I think you deserve more than one band.
People may not like the prices, but deserving another band is just wrong. Sure, it would be nice, but people would give up their left arm to see Led Zeppelin on a ticket at any price.
-
Maybe not like Zeppelin, but certainly more proggy bands would be like Yes and King Crimson. Depends on what you like or if you've listened to them.
-
Hopefully the remixed Year Zero will be better than the actual album. Thank goodness Reznor has no problems allowing people to listen to it for free, so I didn't waste my money on that shite. Good concept, terrible album (except for Capital G).

Kerrang needs to get their heads out of the mainstream ass.
-
Radiohead - In Rainbows
How much did you pay for 'In Rainbows'?
I heard around like 67% offered to pay $0 and the average amount of people who did pay was about $8.00.
I payed $6.00 for In Rainbows. Same with Saul Williams' The Inevitable Rise And Liberation Of NiggyTardust! which was released the same way.
How is Saul Williams' newest? I haven't heard it yet, but his other stuff is great.

Down - III Over the Under
Rush - Snakes & Arrows
QOTSA - Era Vulgaris
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss - Raising Sand
Overkill - Immortalis (A great surprise)
