  1. Era Vulgaris is an awesome album. I'm Designer is such a great song. My love for this album has been professed many a-time.

I like I'm Designer too, and I forgot to mention Make It Wit Chu. I know it's a redo of a song that Homme had back in his Desert Sessions days, but it's awesome. It's about as much of a ballad as Queens will ever do - retaining the sleaze and grime of their music, yet it's pretty damn sexy at the same time. The music video's pretty daring as well - it shows they aren't willing to pander, because that song could have potentially been the big single that would have launched them more into the mainstream (like Buckcherry with "Sorry," which is being played 24/7 on the radio right now). If they had put together a "safe" video and altered a couple verses in the lyrics, it would have been a big song. But instead, the video features a bunch of random people - including lesbians - making out and more.

I remember watching that video for the first time and Homme's expression is priceless throughout the whole thing.

I think my favourite would have to be Battery Acid though. That's if I had to choose though.

  2. I actually think Invincible was a big step up from his '90s work - The production was spectacular, and lyrically he was much less paranoid than on either Dangerous or HIStory (his weakest albums IMO).

Off the Wall and Thriller though... man, perfect albums. Can't decide which one's better.

Thank you. Invincible deserves some credit. It's not his strongest effort obviously, but it's still a damn good album. I'm hoping his new album is awesome.

  3. Anybody know when it'll be out in the U.K?

I saw them in Manchester last October it was quite a spetacle, the show's following the Manchester show are what's on the new live album.

Anybody else think Rush would of won a grammy if The Main Monkey Business was nominated?

I still doubt that. It's unfortunate, but oh well. Rush don't care about Grammys anyways.

I'm sure the new live album will be out right around the same time as April 8th.

  4. GN'R, AFD, UYI1 and 2.

Maiden, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son and A Matter Of Life And Death.

I'll argue Seventh Son. Don't get me wrong, I love the album, but to me The Prophecy is filler. The song sucks and just isn't on par with other songs on the album like Moonchild and Only The Good Die Young. Too bad such an important song in the storyline had to suck.

But I completely forgot AMOLAD. Great album, 100 times greater live!

The one Maiden album I absolutely love is Somewhere in Time.

Somewhere in Time is full of win. The title track by itself makes the whole album good haha, if that's possible.

Powerage, I'm disappointed you don't like The Prophecy. However, I can see why you might not like it. But, you have to like that ending right? The ending is pretty much the best part of the song for me.

  5. UNITED CENTER !!!! Sweet. Last time I was there was for Page/Plant----the sound was amazing !!! Hope they play La Villa Stangiato or Natural Science on this tour---

They played natural science the first leg... oh man it was awesome. I agree with La Villa, lets bring back the lerxst rant! :xmasssanta:

I know, the rant was sorely missing as was La Villa on the first leg. I'm going to try to see if I can make it to the Detroit show. I'm sure they'll keep Natural Science in the setlist, because it sounds absolutely phenomenal on this tour.

And, also on the Rush website, in the tour announcement, they said that a new live album from this tour will be released in April! I love Rush's live albums, and since I was a part of this tour, I really cannot wait for this one.

Only problem with La Villa is they'd have to drop another instrumental.... YYZ, The Main Monkey Business, Hope, or MalNar. Personally, I could live without TMMB. But then again, I want Leave That Thing Alone!

But anyway, 'tis a fine time to be a Rush fan! June can't come soon enough!

The live album should be sick, and they are also gonna release a DVD!

It's true, all of their instrumentals are awesome. And Leave That Thing Alone is amazing! It kinda gets overshadowed by Rush's other instrumentals, but it's so good.
