  1. Megadeth by far.

I don't see what makes Metallica so great anyways. They had two great albums is all.

It's true that their earlier albums were better than their newer albums, but Metallica's great because their older albums are just too memorable. You don't forget a song like Master of Puppets or Battery. Not for me anyways.

  2. 28 Songs, there's bound to be fillers, but there are very little IMO. It's just nice to hear something fresh again, instead of the regular shite you hear today. If anyone's considering buying this album, don't judge based upon Dani California (even though I love that song, too). I highly recommend.

  3. Wet Sand, She's Only 18, Torture Me, Strip My Mind, Desecration Smile, 21st Century, She Looks To Me, Readymade, Storm In A Teacup, We Believe, Dani California, Charlie......it goes on and on.

rock2 ALL OF THESE ARE AMAZING rock1

The whole fucking album rocks haha. An amazing feat for RHCP. I never thought I'd be hooked to other songs of theirs after hearing Californication, another awesome album. However, this double-album kicks arse and the guitar work is incredible.

    NP: Torture Me

  4. Megadeth. I'm seeing metallica at download and that will be awesome, but they play too much new shit, when everyone wants to hear the stuff off MOP and RTL, plus the ghey haircuts, the constant 'you betcha's and 'whoooar's from hetfield, and rob trujilo would put me off a bit.

Megadeth I think I prefer. Plus Dave is such a fucking legend.

Dave Mustaine is a fucking legend. I love both Metallica and Megadeth and I've only seen Metallica live, so I have to see Megadeth still. However, Megadeth takes the crown at the moment because of The System Has Failed. Both bands are coming out with new albums, so we'll see who wins next round.

  5. Slave To The Grind is a brilliant album. I only have that and their debut but I prefer STTG.

Agreed. Slave to the Grind is just an incredible album. Starts off with 'Monkey Business' and just kicks your ass until 'Wasted Time'. Personally, one of my favourite albums of all time. Moreover, that softer part in the middle of 'Psycho Love' before the solo is just incredible. I have Skid Row, STTG, and Subhuman Race, and I like STTG the most. Skid Row is a damn good band who anyone should check out.

  6. According to our daily riddle the Isohunt claims were fake.

Beware false prophets! The time for redemtion is nigh! Isohunt has perpetrated falsehoods against thee.

    <+++LAUNCHSEQUENCEINITIATED+++> <+++TOMORROWAMESSAGEFORYOU+++> <+++TONIGHTYOUHAVECOMFORT+++> <+++PREPAREFORONSLAUGHT+++>

When did these 4 phrases get placed onto the page?

  7. So who cares if he breaks our hearts again? Axl Rose is still a rerun worth watching. Whether rock deity,

psychological case study, or reality show–worthy disaster, he nonetheless gives his audience what it craves

    most: authenticity.

    ....

    That's the part i liked...

    Authenticity is not a nice-to-have..... it's a leadership imperative

    L.

    Well said.

  8. She isn't too bad, but she's a Scientologist, so she's lost all appeal.

dude you don't have to talk with her the next morning  :xmasssanta:

:rofl-lol: True, unless she chains you there.

dont know ether i should post this here but fuck it why not.the other day at a certain persons house i managed to sneak in a little listen to 6 new gnr tracks.i couldnt believe what i was hearing.anyway among them were twat, rhiad, catcher in the rye and a few others i dont know the names of.

i dont really know what to say other than its really not what i was expecting.so i have heard the proof that axl really has been busy.

and a description of the leaks

    http://gunsreincarnate.bbfun.com/gunsreinc...e-about332.html

Now even though he cant name the 3 new leaks he heard i definetely think this guy is telling the truth.. he also said he might jack the CD when he gets the chance...

Bunch-O-Shite, and even if it was true, who would listen to all of these and potentially ruin over half of the finished album for themselves?

  10. I'm calling in the king of intricate gn'r statistics on this one, Mr. Indiana Rose, himself...

The whole thing about Axl's crazy "no show" reputation, I think, is much bigger than it actually should be....

all in all in his career, hasn't there only been like, less than 10, maybe even less than 8 "no-shows" (not counting the 02 tour cancellation)? i mean... compared to the number of shows they've done in their entire career?

So yes, Indy, exactly how many no-shows is Axl guilty of?

Are you for real? Even ONE no-show is fucking ridiculous and absolutely fucking immature and selfish. He's a selfish mother fucker but he can't help it because he battles a chemical imbalance. His no-shows are the actions of a man fighting insecurities that he cannot help but everyone of them has no excuse.

So, did you bust one nut, or two?

  11. I'd love to hear some new stuff from Sebastian. He has an awesome voice. In fact, Slave to the Grind is right behind Appetite for my favourite albums. If he did have his own show, like madison said, I'd definitely tune in. He's not annoying at all. That's me, though.

  12. Yet another thread that must try to define who is a true fan. Only this time, the poster's name is Axlsnutsack, so it must be something worth reading, right? Oh, I'm sorry, you must've been trying to be serious. You've failed.

Here's an idea: Hold on to your curiosity for a change, instead of dismissing the new band on bootlegs and other live songs that haven't been officially released yet. People whine that GN'R these days doesn't deserve their attention because they haven't released anything, yet, they say they suck because of a few live songs that are barely a decent representation of the band. Some of you aren't making any sense.

Hey nutsack, obviously you are curious about the new band because you've claimed to have listened to bootlegs. So, if they are absolutely nothing compared to the old band, why would you listen to the bootlegs? Honestly. You're curious aren't you? Exactly. Your curiosity makes you interested in what this band can accomplish. If you never thought this band could match the old band, then you should not have downloaded the bootlegs. It's so simple, yet you are not making it easy for yourself, and you just set yourself up for another disappointment in life that is 100% your own fault.

Luckily, others listened to the live songs and the leaks without a bias and are able to enjoy them. If you cling onto that bias, that's your own fucking fault, and you have no one but yourself to blame. It's not the new band's fault for not meeting your expectations. That's not their goal, and if you don't know that, then you're in shit up to your knees.

  13. It sounds horrible to me. way too fast, no emotion, no feeling, no bluesy vibe. It's just a fucking shred machine. yeah, a machine.

I don't think playing fast makes you good but you seem to think that playing fast can never be good no matter what... what's up with that?

Yeah really. If the new guitarist wants to shred his ass off in a rehearsal, then what the hell is the matter with that? Doesn't mean Nightrain or any other song is going to turn into a shredding fest. Take a breather.

  14. I doubt it.

I think if he is going to tour, the album will definitly be released this year.

Yep - just like the album they released in 2002 when they toured. It didn't sell very well though...I don't know anyone that owns it.

You don't know anyone who owns it? Really? I know plenty of people who own it actually, they just don't have their heads stuck so far up their asses about Guns N' Roses. Ahh, how I love that 2002 album they put out. Can't wait for the 2006 release.

Look at this way: Axl said we'll hear music this year. He is keeping his promise with a mini tour this year. Whether or not the album comes out in 2006, you're still going to hear music, so quit analyzing this fact after it has been analyzed to death in previous months.

  15. Knock knock. The Stones don't fucking care which band is going to be there, as long as the crowd comes and gets warmed up before the main act comes on. I'm really sure Mick is going to go into a depressive state and cancel the tour just because the original band wasn't there to lift his legendary band. Holy shite. Some of you need to get a grip. The Stones have done enough drugs in their lives to realize that the presence of any band there isn't going to give them any kind of high. These shows are about them. As selfish as that is, it's true. If it was Axl there with a kazoo, they wouldn't give two shits, as long as their show continues for their fans.

This is great news for GN'R fans. Accept that fact.

  16. It might be to a clue to what band is coing to show up. i mean how is the new GNR going to fit in with the rolling. GNR's new music is way different than was 15 years ago i cant see them fitting in with the stones. Maybe with NIN or something, but i seriously cant see them doing OMG infront of the stones crowd. but it would make sense if it was old GNR.

Another clone? Good Lord. Here's a little tidbit of information: We have not heard every song GN'R has to offer us in 2006. They're not going to play OMG and repeat it 6 times, so you have absolutely no idea what they may or may not play. Plenty of the songs we've never heard could fit in, some of them may not fit in. Since when have Guns N' Roses fit in anyways? I remember in 1987, they released AFD, the biggest hair metal album ever. Not. It shit on hair metal. Get with it.

Metallica opened for the Stones awhile back, and you think that fit in well? No, it didn't, and it was a damn good thing. Take your conformity speeches about a reunited band to the Early Days section.

  17. I've a little newbie question. Will the be quality bootlegs from the NY shows? Or will the quality be like Rhiad And The Bedoins version?

    Good question!

I believe the answer to this question is: They will either be good quality or bad quality.

    Good answer.

  18. what the fuck are you nerds talking about. ever tried fucking a girl or going out to a club and drinking beer or just getting a life generally? LOSERSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Hey, if you're not interested, then don't read the thread. Simple as that.

But acting like an a**hole in this thread is not permitted.

Very cool dark. The overwhelming majority on this forum will be looking forward to reading your blog. :)

Agreed. Dark has been nothing short of exceptional with his helpfulness on this board. However, let's keep the appreciation in this thread, without starting a 'Darknemus Appreciation Thread' :P

  19. hey dark, i'm gonna be doing the same thing for my forum. pretty cool.

i know verizon and sprint worked in there, cuz i've gotten messages from people at shows there who have both those providers. I'm pretty sure t-mobile will work as well.

I'm gonna be signed into msn on my phone, and as a backup i'll just use text message to an AIM account. Hopefully it all goes well.

Yeah, I'll actually have two phones with me. Just in case I lose battery on the MDA. I'll still have my SDA. Only problem is, well, texting is a bitch on those tiny-ass buttons. MDA's got a full dropdown QWERTY keyboard, which is damn nice. I'm fully confident in getting a TMobile signal there.. never had a problem anywhere else, really.

I'll also make sure to snap some pics of the airplane ride over and all that - although that stuff will really be more for my own 'archive' of the events - what the heck, I have no issues sharing.

    -darknemus

yeah dude, i'd really be interested in seeing the route everyone takes to get there... pictures at landing etc. etc. even the walk to the venue itself.

so if i see some dude fumbling between two phones after each track starts, i'll know it's you. and if while you are doing it you look over and see someone fumbling with one phone and two batteries, that's me ;)

Just don't forget to watch the band :P
