I'm going to travel to Paris during Holy Week with my eldest daughter. It absolutely had to be Paris. It seems to be THE greatest place for a ten year old girl right now.

I haven't been since 1996. And this time it won't be hanging out with a girl punk band at shabby rehearsal places. It's going to be Eiffel Tower, Louvre and strolls by the Seine.

Just because you've seen 10 studios listed doesn't mean Rose went anywhere near them.

Most will just be where someone went in for a day and re-recorded yet another guitar riff to overlay on top of an existing one.

The few interviews we've heard involving the recording process were all pretty consistent in saying Rose wasn't present most of the time.

I have to agree with this. Although I'm against Putin and most definitely against this war, I would wish for a more balanced and unbiased reporting.

I'm not an expert in foreign politics, but just from a human standpoint this war is terribly sad. It also worries me that sometimes the discussion seems to be simplified as in bad Russians (who are we talking about?) and good Ukrainans (some comments verging on racism) and not consider the complex realities and the people truely responsible.

There was a big charity event at my kids school to collect money for refugies which I wholeheartly approve of, but they were expecting the kids to wear the colours of the Ukrainian flag, which seems absurd and wrong to me. 

I'm trying hard to express myself eloquently here as English isn't my first language. 

The remaining songs would make a great album! It's between 14 Years and Yesterdays for me. Or maybe Breakdown? Hm.

But it's definitely indicative of Axl either not knowing or giving a shit who his audience is. 

The Illusion albums seem like the polar opposite approach that Axl took with Chinese Democracy in terms of song inclusion.  Whereas with CD they wrote 30 - 70 songs and included a select few for the album, with the Illusion albums they seem to include scrap of music they had produced over the last five to seven years.  

If it weren't for Mad World, this would easily be my first vote.  Wretched song.  Always hated the lyric "you can suck my ass."  

I actually haven’t listened to My World in many, many years. Will do now. 😄

AFD is their best record. It's hard to even rank the others, because they don't feel cohesive enough.

Every album has at least some really great tunes though.
