One Paradise fucks off and then hopefully followed by Sweet Child, then I'm completely fucked.

Obviously I like all of the songs left now, but what I like about SCOM in particular is it's sincerity. And I love the guitar solos.

  2. RIP. Just yesterday I had a very long conversation about him and his latest book with my best friend. We both said that we’re glad he's still alive.

My favorite project of his were The Gutter Twins.

I love the riff and the intensity of Axl's vocal delivery. Along with the overall theme of the song. You could just feel the paranoia he felt when writing it. I don't understand why it is disliked.

    I don't dislike it.

@History2010this Survivor Game is a lot of fun. I love that it gets us talking about songs for once.

Personally I haven't thought about ranking these songs in a long time. I know the opinions I had 30 years ago and I just never evaluated them again, I guess.

This is a fun opportunity to do so.

Part of GNR's entire schtick is the sense of going off the rails at any time. Bucket didn't have that. There was not one dangerous bone in that guy's body. He could play a lot of notes, but if there's no struggle there's no intensity, then what's the point?

What do you mean? Not dangerous? Just because he's got a song called "I Love My Parents"?

No seriously, I personally have a feeling BH could go off the rails any minute. For real. I don't know if Tom Zutaut's stories are to be trusted, but they are pretty disturbing. Dog poo, hardcore porn, that chicken coop no one was allowed to enter.

He didn't fit, not because he was boring, but because he wasn't one of the cool kids. Axl and Slash were always the good looking rogues other kids aspired to be. Buckethead not so much. Ashba not so much.

  5. No matter what your opinion on Buckethead is, he appears very strange and outlandish to most people actually.

I like some of Buckethead's output, although I have no overview of his releases. I'm definitely no expert, but I kind of connected with the Pike for his mother, #65, I believe.

I also liked Captain EO's Voyage and some other Pikes (#263 among them).

The funny thing though is I never think of Gn'R when I listen to Buckethead. I saw some live footage of Guns with Bucket and he does look kind of out of place.

I love Sorry though. And I assume some of his solos,  I guess. I have to admit I'm not sure who plays what on CD.

I never cared for DJ Ashba in Gn'R (or at all). Maybe I don't do him justice, but he was the reason back then, I thought to myself: "Okay, I'm outta here." 😃

  6. I'm interested in how the biopic will turn out. It's definitely not an easy one to get right.

MJ was such an ambigous figure. Someone truly unique, an outsider almost, who had this massiv amount of talent and this massiv amount of success, but never fulfilled the publics expectations. He genuinly was so many contradictory things at once. I believe acknowledging and respectfully bringing these aspects to the forefront could make an interessting and appealing movie.

I've been intrigued by this video for quite some while. It's kind of an inappropriate way to talk to a kid his age. At one point the interviewer asks him if he is some kind of a nut. Also: "Rosie the Crusher" 🤣

I agree with you @RussTCB. Bad wins for its consitency. But pop music doesn't get better than WBSS, Billie Jean, Beat It and Human Nature.

I just recently listened closely to BJ on my headphones a few times in a row. So good!
