I just realized you have a Steven Adler picture with a red slash through it. No wonder your trying to scew it to look like barely anyone gives a shit about him.
It's his MO. As tiring as it is, it's his opinion & he's free to hooray for tolerance! I mean "express" it.

So were all pit tickets VIP packages for presale? will cheaper pit tickets come up for sale in general?
-
Yes ticket confirmation & check out recite stated PIT1 for me but there was no option to choose which was frustrating. Anyone who was wondering if Nighttrain presale was worth the money... It looked like all ticket options were available.

Got pit 1 Brisbane, what side is slash? I could not see option to choose sides?

Shihad would be perfect openers for GnR. I hope its not skid row & rose tattoo, I'm having flash backs to the Brisbane convention centre 2007 & its making me twitch it was so bad.

Next question is if I join the Nighttrain & pay, how long before I become an official member to get the pre sale tickets available?
I just joined, membership is instant I was given a code to go straight to Japan pre sales.
I'm not risking not getting the tickets I want, two days & it feels like Christmas. Just getting the tickets has me pumped

Pits will almost definitely be larger than the states. I imagine it'll be similar to Eminem when he toured Oz/NZ most recently, in that the floor was split up in to two sections with the front one being more of a "d" barricade as pictured below (just after gates opened). Also same venue GNR are rumoured to play in NZ next year.
So, I think bigger than the US pits, but smaller than the AC/DC front one pictured above. Otherwise, at AC/DC for example, they were first in first served and acted more as a safety barrier I'm also guessing $300-ish (local currency) for front pit, and like 150-180 for standard GA. They'll also likely bring a decent opener and have another few local acts on the bill, always happens with Stadium tours down under.
Rose tattoo will be on the bill I'm sure. What does one have to do to get on pre sale? I would not be surprised if pit tickets were snapped up quick in Aus, I expect demand to be high.

Sorry about size. So this is where guns is apparently playing in QLD. Will the pits be larger than the states? ACDC were good size. Any idea on pit ticket prices & best way to get in early??

If you count Lies as a whole album, sure. Izzy might be on UYI too but I was under the impression that Slash did the vast majority of guitars there
Don't just throw me in some "nuFan" box.

I completely agree. Izzy is the heart and soul. Slash is the limbs. Adler is the toes. Duff is the hands and Axl is the anus.

Richard sounds so great... it's like a combination between Mick Tayler, Keith Richards and Ron Wood.
IMO, he should be offered a partnership in GN'R, he deserves it.
To me, it's not "the big 3" anymore but "The big 4" with Fortus.
Hell no

Now I remember why I spent so many years away from this forum. People not reading posts correctly and making up facts as they go along with people's opnions. If you re-read my post, I clearly state it's "GNRs version of Dark Side Of The Moon when it comes to layers and hidden tracks" never did I say it's on the same level of creativity and depth that Dark Side Of The Moon has. If I had to choice which is better, then I'd pick Dark Side anyday over Chinese. And never did I bring up album sales. In my opinion, album sales are irrelevant since the dawn of the download age. As far as a masterpiece, why does it bother you so much that I see as one? Some people view One Directions last album as a masterpiece, doesn't mean it's viewed that way to everyone. It's simply based on one's opinion. As far as I feel about the people I mentioned who go to the shows and crap on the new songs and shout Paradise City inbetween songs. Again, it's my opinion and it's how I feel. I understand casual fans go to hear the radio hits, but to be ignorant and not give the new songs a chance (which the majority that were near me at the concerts never heard of the Chinese Democracy material ) and keep shouting Paradise City inbetween songs is annoying to me. People go to concerts to enjoy themselves, people pay alot of money to go. Just because you don't like some songs, or you are there to hear the hits, doesn't entitle you to make the people around try to feel the same way. I highly doubt you shouting Paradise City from 100 yards away over other screaming fans and loud music is going to make the band play that song, with them only 4 songs into the set. I don't care for This I Love, but I didn't crap on it during the show, I listened with open ears and gave it a chance on both night's and even with Slashs amazing guitar solos, I still didn't care for the song. For me, the song got overplayed during my youth when I was going through some tough times relationship wise.
Calling me a Kool aid drinker because I actually like CD I find funny. I do like grape flavored kool aid btw. you could call the people who go to concerts to only hear the radio hits kool aid drinkers too.
CD is a Guns album. Go to itunes, Amazon or any record store, its right with all the other Guns Albums. Simple as that, don't like some of my opinions, then I'm sorry you're losing sleep over it.
Sorry dude, my comment on your post was uncalled for.

Thank you so much for sharing this and I completely agree with the majority in this thread. Chinese was a underrated album and was a masterpiece. I'd seriously view as GNRs version of Dark Side Of The Moon when it comes to all these layers and hidden tracks. Once you slap on a good pair of head phones, you begin to make out some of those tracks you don't normally hear in car speakers or a stereo. It seriously feels like for me, every time I take a listen to this album, I find something new.
As far as the concert goers and reviewer's who trash the new songs. They are nothing but arrogant casual radio hit posers. When I saw Guns live a week ago, alot of meatheads that were near me kept shouting Paradise City inbetween songs. I don't value people's negative opinions on Chinese because I find people who diss it, diss it because "Its Not Guns N'Roses" or "it doesn't sound like Appetite " way I see it, you either love the album or you hate it. People who hate tend to go out of their way to make people who like it, to change their minds. I just see those people as ignorant.
As far as the original post goes, is there something in the download section or a link that can be provided for these stripped down tracks?

Very cool. The meticulousness that went in to the recording and production of this album is Brian Wilson-esque. What an outstanding achievement for Axl, the catharsis is palpable throughout.
Such a shame the cynical internet generation didn't even give it a chance when it was released. Makes ya think that if they released the EXACT same album with the current line up it'd do a lot better commercially and critically simply because it's slightly cooler to like GNR in 2016 than it was in 2008.
Definitely one of my all-time favourite albums, top 20 for sure.
It wouldn't have been the exact same album though, if the current line up recorded it it would have been far closer to a real GNR album influenced by more than one member of the band. I imagine it would have done better commercially, not because its cool, but because it would have had real GNR cred & sound. It would not have became the mess it did.

I personally think he's on bipolar meds. For someone to go 50 years one way, and then do a 180 and become someone else almost over night? I just don't think it's possible. And that's not to say I am not impressed and/or happy for him or that I am trying to take anything away from him but, there's just no way he could have done this without some sort of medical intervention.
People often have very strong internal shifts with out the help of meds. I can not agree with the last sentence.

Considering that Izzy's main complaint seemed to be the band going on stage so late, I wonder if the punctuality going on with the current tour will encourage him to really want to be part of it at some point??
Aside from the obvious, having Izzy back in the fold, even as guest appearance, would likely mean an overdue change to the setlist which could include 14 Years and/or Dust N' Bones. One can hope!
I would assume that being offered anything less than a partnership moving forward is the issue & rightly so. Why would Izzy continue to take lessons on how to sux eggs by accepting anything less from the band he had a hand in creating. He was put in an untenable situation buy the behaviour of the other three, so to say he chose to leave is shortsighted at the least.
The absolute best thing for the band & Axl would be for Axl to give the band back & put the CD era behind them.

Weird how Frank bashing posts are perfectly fine but not being amazed at Adler being able to play Appetite songs (there's only 12 of them, and he had 30 years to practise them) or being constantly wanting him in instead of Frank is "spamming the board with SA hate".
I'm an Appetite line up lover myself but this is getting fucking ridiculous. Pro tip: you're not a bigger or better fan than anyone else by doing that constant whining about Adler not being there full time and Frank still being in.
When 99% of his posting history is rinse & repeat it does start to come across that way.

No, I just don't think the drug addict drummer that was thrown out of the band 26 years ago makes or breaks a tour that 90% of the audience thinks is about Axl/Slash.
But you carry on & on & on & on & on & on & on & on & on on & on & on & on & on & on & on & on & on on & on & on & on & on & on about it to the point where you are basically spamming the board with SA hate.

Not your favorite performance, but one where the band sounds perfect -- for my money, this is it.
From vocals to guitar, the band is flawless. Axl's vocals are in prime form.

"november rain" and "catcher" are worlds apart though. the former has dramatic, heartfelt guitar playing. those solo's sound like pain, lovehurt. I can't say the same about catcher where they went for a more technical approach. I sense nothing heartfelt, genuine in there at all. It sounds too calculated and scripted.
All new music recorded post UYI by Axl is shite & should in no way be compared to the timeless music of "Guns N Roses".

Some forget that he couldn't play much of the material.
We might want to break out Stevens interviews right before reunion announced, he said many times Duff doesn't think he's a good drummer.
Now again this was all Stevens words. And perhaps drugs played a huge part in why he couldn't evolve his drumming, but not even a year ago Steven at least thought, assumed or something they didn't like his drumming. I believe he even said Slash won't hang out with him.
It was great being there and him playing a few songs. Stevens awesome but I don't see him back full time. It's risky for them all.
They all seemed to enjoy having him there.
All of that was a direct result of his drug habit & behaviours resulting from his drug habit.
Steven was fired from the band because he could not play the material because of his drug issues.
Steven has acted like a peanut & said stupid things as a result of his continued issues.
Axl was fucking pumped during those songs, inspired even. The value of the original members is undeniable. Steven needs to prove himself over a much longer period of time, if he can then, he should play a much larger roll in the shows.
People saying "he didn't even record UYI" to minimise his contributions are delusional, much of the material was around long before he was fired.
He is "Guns n Roses" no NgGNR spin will change that.
Out to get me & My Michelle with Adler was more GnR than anything in the last 25 years.
