    It is.

To think just four years ago, we looked at Duff and Slash's return as sort of a rebirth of the classic Guns N' Roses.

Unfortunate that Alan Niven is not the manager of this band in 2020. He's the only guy that forced them to work.

We should be talking about whether GNR are going to release a 2nd album since the return of Slash N Duff.

Brian May once ripped through Welcome to the Black Parade with My Chemical Romance so I'd say stranger things have happened! But I'd agree that he'd be the wrong fit in Guns in a full time capacity. I don't think he would have wanted to anyways despite Queen's relative inactivity around the time of thos early Chinese sessions.

I very much doubt he would have hung around with Axl fucking about, cancelled tours, album release dates put back and not sure what he would have made of Team Brazil

They never really deliver so they get quite a few negative comments. You can't half ass everything all the time and expect super positive responses only. Be professional, do something for the fans and all will be nice and cosy. Simple.

Half ass everything! I wish they did that much.

" Am 9. Juni hätten Guns N' Roses das Happel-Stadion zum Kochen gebracht - nach der Corona-bedingten Absage haben Axl Rose, Slash & Co. zumindestens ein Trostprogramm für alle Wiener Fans: eine phänomenale Streaming-Konzertreihe mit dem Titel "Not In This Lifetime Selects" zu sehen ab sofort auf YouTube! "

Guns N' Roses would have brought the Happel-Stadion on fire on June 9th - after the corona-related cancellation, Axl Rose, Slash & Co. have at least one consolation for all Viennese fans: a phenomenal streaming concert series entitled "Not In This Lifetime Selects" can now be seen on YouTube!

What a consolation for the "GnR fAm" in vienna. I hope you have fun with the 13 minute phenomenal video.

Wow what a article. Top music journalism there

    Well! If Guns N' Roses can tour without a new album in 91, 2002, 2006, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, I don't see why they can't release an album without a tour.

Also remember that they toured Chinese Democracy in 2010, 2 years after the album was released.

If they released Lies without a tour, The Spaghetti Incident without a tour, Live Era without a tour, I don't get it.

If they released Chinese Democracy without any promotion I don't see why not release an album with tons of promotion now.

Anyway, at least the UYI 30th Anniversary boxset could be something.

But no... It's a hard knock life being a GNR fan.

The Illusions 30th anniversary release could overshadow a new album release. Or it could be an excuse not to release a new album in 2021

I'm not interested in getting into an argument with some white knight that thinks these guys are something they're not.

I suppose all their arrests which are a matter of public record are "fake" and that they were just "misunderstood?"

    Grow up.

Have you met them on holiday and they hogged all the sunbeds? I heard they're worse than German tourists for that.

Of course they were scallywags in their day but they've matured now. I think they took your advice and grew up

Yeah, I hope this happens. Guess we'll see what 2021 brings about the virus. I was excited by this tour. Have seen these bands many times before and since Vince was actually taking his health seriously, I thought this might be one of the Crue's best tours yet. Poison always rock as do Def Leppard. I had so many amazing concerts this year and all have either been cancelled or postponed. Not sure when/if concerts can resume again.

Were they supposed to tour too?

I know the Scorpions were doing a Vegas residency, but that's been cancelled as well.

Yeah Aerosmith cancelled some Vegas dates but they also have a European tour booked. It starts in Italy in a week. It hasn't officially been cancelled.

Aside from the intro (lord knows what they were thinking when they signed that off) and the vocal cut / paste glitch (terrible QC) Scraped is a canny little 3 min rocker with a decent riff, great drumming and excellent vocals. Never understood the hate.

Yeah I agree. The intro is pretty bad but apart from that it's a canny little tune.

Oh dear lighten up a bit, no I was not trying to mask my ignorance of not knowing Blink, I was letting it show, no shame in not knowing a particular Band although I have to say I am not sure how I missed out/

By the way I am a new fan of GNR, I came across them about six months ago as did a few of my friends...they will never lose their relevance.

You need to take a long hard look at yourself, sit down and watch Kerrang Music TV for the next 2 weeks! Please take notes

Queen, David Bowie, Def Leppard, Nirvana amongst many others played on Top Of The Pops and the show regularly pulled in 18 million viewers at its peak. In the 90s and early 2000s it was watched by millions still before Greg Dyke and the BBC messed around with it. YouTube and things didn’t exist for music videos and not everyone had MTV or basic cable/satellite.

The Blink-182 argument can be compared to any other band releasing music at the minute. Pearl Jam aren’t huge in the UK, Guns N’ Roses are not a big deal anymore. They announce big stadium shows but where’s the longer tours? They don’t happen anymore. The joy of seeing them somewhere like London Docklands back in 2002, or the 2006 European tour where I saw them four times, even going to Rock Am Ring.

I hear ya. GNR are boring at the moment. So much so that the mention of Blink pricked my interest. At this stage I would prefer solo projects from GNR with new music and more tours.

You know since the 2012 UK tour GNR have played 3 UK shows and one was a Festival. Piss poor by anyones standards.

I have to confess to being a old school TOTP fan but it went way downhill towards the end.

And in my opinion Blink were never huge in the UK. I'd say big-ish

Good man. Yeah I do think the dates will mirror but Tottenham stadium would depend on the football season so could be iffy for late May 2021.

There's a chance the venue could be changed with the football season starting and finishing later.

I don't understand why people think the narrative of "theres no way they could release an album during a pandemic.." is real!!! its been happening with major artists since March 13th!! In the pop world Gaga just dropped. In the rap world Future and Lil Yatchy just dropped. In the rock world Def Leppard released a live album.

I think the main problem with a new GNR album is promotion. As we've seen lately, especially during this pandemic, GNR's management/social media just isn't vocal when they aren't under pressure. It's easy to mask it when on tour, or promoting one of their new merch cash grabs, but even those they don't promote twice or at all. And to promote ANY sort of new music, you need out reach, collaborations, P.R.O.M.O.T.I.O.N.

You know how easy it would be to give us "somethings coming...." on twitter with a late June/Early July release date with some vague art work???? By then, hopefully our world will have some semblance of normality. Music videos could be created.. you don't even need the band to be in them, but it would be nice to see! Spotify/Apple Music/Pandora PROMOTION. Constant reminders of whats coming on Twitter/Facebook/Youtube... Interactive ways of promotion and ways to get people involved. New merch that goes in line with the new MUSIC. Giveaways. Vinyl. The works..

    WE NEED N-E-W.

None of these things Team Brazil or any of the rest of the Management seem like they could do efficiently or at all.

Like the Tower Records thing in 2016... That was fucking BRILLIANT and yet it all started dying down after that, and you have what we have now.

We need a single or something this year. This is the year of havoc. Chaos. uncertainty. This is everything GNR stands for and has been associated with in the past, and yet here they are supposedly with some new music, but yet are sitting on their own hands?? WHY? All the while Axl wants to pick fights with the current administration, what better way than with ART? WORDS?

Absolutely. Promotion is totally different now. You don't necessarily need a tour.

They can do all kinds of teasers on Social media. Start off with a music video then bam release the fucker. Now is the perfect time! Last month was the perfect time!

    Big disagree there, imo

KOHD remains one of the highlights of the set and everyone I know that see's them live praised it. Also one of Axl's best vocals.

Now would it be cool to switch it up a bit (acoustic like in 93?) sure. But don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Genuinely don't get the Frank hate.

My full quote said I'd prefer Dead Horse! Do you and your friends like that song?
