I find it facinating how some people in this thread is just trying to be as negative as can be, towards me. What's the problem? I made a post about the greatest thing that has happened to me in a very long time.  If you find it stupid, why bother giving me attention? You don't have to even look at this thread if you find this whole thing "so stupid" of me to post about. (This goes for all the haters!). I never visit threads I don't care about reading and especially not just to "show my disapproval of the thread", like it matters...

As for the word "viral", I'm no word-expert and didn't google search that word before I posted it. I've seen the video getting "a lot more than 4000 views" on other sites than youtube (instagram and facebook for instance) btw, and I thought the word "viral" was the correct term. I thought it simply meant a video that has spread on different sites, really fast. And it has (Gn'R fanpages). Not about getting a million views or more. And I only meant within the Gn'R community as well of course.  I am "sorry" for using that word if it's not correct. It must have been the dumbest thing I've done so far.;)

Edit: Oh, and I have no problem changing the damn headline if "viral" is wrongfully used. There! I changed it. But I dislike the way you presented it, like I'm stupid. No need for that.

Who cares? Haters gonna hate. You're still a hot and smart scandinavian girl ;)

He's been playing out of his skin pretty much since the second Velvet Revolver album. Something happened, sobriety perhaps, but he's picked up the craft of guitar playing with more enthusiasm or something. He built on that for his solo albums, all of them have some killer riffs and solos. By the time he came back, his playing had been firing on all cylinders for quite a few years, and GNR could only benefit from having him fired up like that.

He is clean since then. But since he is clean he is more into creating catchy riffs not epic solos.

this sounds like axl and slash playing as guests on a wedding band, i can not understand how is that any of these three guys dont get annoyed by the speed in which this and all the other songs are being played.

Yup. All post 93 versions are horribly lame. It's even more painful when you compare with their prime

Even Gilby plays it with the right vibe.

The truth is, Axl doesn't care for Slash's penchant for cock-rock and Slash doesn't care for Axl's nine minute Stephanie Seymour ballads.

That's why they needed another primary songwriter (Izzy Stradlin) on board, because Axl and Slash are pulling in such different directions. I would be very surprised if Axl/Slash/Duff managed to pull off a truly collaborative album of brand new music together at this stage.

The most realistic scenario is a 2nd Slash album featuring Axl on 2 songs.

Anything is possible, but Its fucking Guns N Roses (3/5ths of it) we're talking about. They've always had trouble getting into the studio from Day 1 for one reason or the other. Getting there is the problem, once there they have shown they can get things done rather quick. Then mixing and mastering becomes a long drawn out process for them as well.

The huge question mark is Axl of course. How badly does he want to do it. And once there, can he fucking deliver and be inspired by the music to write some good/great lyrics..And also how much control or direction does he want to concede to his bandmates?  We know Slash and Duff have ideas in the bag along with Richard and Frank. We know Izzy always has songs as well, but to what extent he'll be involved in a GNR studio album, if at all is something we have no answer for either.

So its a big fucking who knows:shrugs: And the usual going in circles speculating this that and the other.

C'mon, Slash, Duff and Matt proved that they had no problems to create new melodic stuff. The problems were always the lyrics and a top notch singer. And since Axl didn't show up at studio rehearsals since 1994, he was always the main problem. Instead we got a patchwork album called CD.

Wow, lol. That was brutal. I think the fan base would be a touch smaller today If this Is how he actually sounded In 1992.

But I would rather have them back with Axls current voice than not have them around at all.

    Last gig.

    1992 :

Axl low voice is almost the same, that's why outta get me sounds ok, but his high voice is mickey mouse. And it was mickey 2001. Why?  We don't know.

In my opinion Axl sounds worse than ever. His lower register is fine. But that falsetto is absolutely terrible. I have tickets for Miami. I'm thinking about selling them.

I agree at the lower voice part. She sounds good on tracks like Don't Cry. But when he starts using his higher voice, Mickey is talking over his soul.

You must have missed the School Benefit and Rock in Rio 2011 f.ex. nonetheless.

But let's face it. His post 93 voice is simply different and I don't like it. It's only acceptable with all 86-93 members and AC/DC. Still prefer Brian and Scott in AC/DC.

Great show! It is really strange that Axl sounds like Mickey on some videos because you cant hear that live. Civil war was great live but when I listen to a video i recorded I hear Mickey. I guess you need to see them live.

So... all the mobile videos, soundboards and pro shots were liars... I always knew it!

    1. A very fast / uptempo version of one in a million

    2. Crash Diet studio version ;-)

I agree. There are only two or three GnR songs that would have deserved a rerecording.

    Dead Horse (acoustic)

    Crash Diet

    The rest was perfectly arranged.

They should have put the weaker Illusion songs and TSI songs out as b-sides, and then somewhere along the line put out a similar album to Oasis's Masterplan which gathers them together.

TSI was a very weak album. Weak songs that didn't catch their musical inspirations at all. And except for SIDHY the covers were just 1:1 covers.

    The album should have contained:

    Mama Kin by Aerosmith

Whole Lotta Rosie / Riff Raff by ACDC

Sympathy for the Devil or Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones

Helter Skelter by the Beatles. As fuck you for Charles Manson.

Only women bleed by Alice Cooper

Sail away sweet sister by Queen

    Mother by Pink Floyd

    Passenger by Iggy Pop

Tuesday's gone / Free Bird / Simple man by Lynyrd Skynyrd

One of the punk songs Duff liked

And maybe a Who, Elton John or Led Zeppelin song.

These bands obviously influenced the band the most and not the punk stuff on TSI.

  11. Since it didn't happen the first time, it's pretty obvious that Axl gave the order to 'collect' the banners as souvenir for his backstage trash can. And the almost 'no pictures' and definitely 'no chats/interviews' policy sucks as well. Is there actually a popular band who has a worse fan service? The diva attitude maybe worked in the 80s and 90s, but in 2017 it's ridiculous. As an artist I would love to meet fans like Stine and would give her a little bit more attention;)

The worst musical performance in the history of live television. THe entire package was a bad joke.

The sad thing is that this was not a one-off. The entire year of 2002 was a damn train wreck.

I think everyone who saw Axl and Gn'R years ago was 'Wtf?' that night. Simply everything about it was shocking. I even thought that Buckethead was just Slash dressed like a serial killer with a KFC bucket instead of his top head.

You could see that Axl had problems with his ear plugs, but... It was his big global return...and it was the first time in his career that he had vocal problems. This performance destroyed Axl's and NuGnRs MTV career instantly.

I read awhile ago on HTGTH that the sports jerseys look was specifically due to a stylist according to Jarmo.

Even though they were en vogue at the time, it provided a cover for and exacerbated Axl's weight issues.

But the jerseys were not covers for his weight... These pics are apparently from the same night in December 2001. Axl looked really in shape and cool in that first pic.

    That's not true.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Spit_Love_(album)

    Credited for: 5/12 songs

     https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trysome_Eatone

    Credited for: 11/13 songs

These albums were not popular...since he were on tour with Enrique Iglesias, Rhianna and worked with Nsync I would have expected that he had at least one credit for a popular song. He is more a rhythm guitar player, I know, but he didn't contribute any memorable riffs, melodies, etc. As far as we know.
