Probably because they paid for a Guns N Roses show and got Disney instead!

I know, it's hard, but as long Marty Mcfly won't kidnap the young Axl, we won't be happy with GnR. His voice will never be the same. I love Axl's golden era voice and can't stand his post 1993 voice on most songs...

  2. Let's face it. NuGnR has no identity. The gag order is the most ridiculous band policy in the history of rock. As result of that we got a patchwork album, which simply doesn't sound right. 100 ideas of different employees mixed up with Axl's voice from different years. And Slash and Duff joined this game actually for the same reasons than all the other employees. Money.

I'm sure that Duff and Slash wanted to do us fans a favor with this reunion somehow, but as long they are only part of Axl's band policy, it's a cash grab farce. At least for me.

I would have been ok if Izzy, Steven, Gilby and Matt would be part of this lame game, but only 3 of them milking the cow is pointless...

    and it's always weird shit

I'm an 80s kid and never understood the success of twitter and instagram. Who cares what someone has to say? If you have something to say, join a forum and communicate with a whole group of people with different opinions. If you have some interesting pictures, make an album on Facebook.

Slash and Trump are the weirdest twitter celebrities out there...however the 70 year old president tops them all...

  4. As far Axl told the real thing, Duff and Slash are doing it just because they wanted to.

Maybe it is part of their contract, we don't know.

The only thing which is real: Slash and Duff are teasing Axl with that. But they are sending a bad sign with that. CD is just an Axl solo thing and Slash's interpretations of CD are disappointing. But you can't make hit material from CD. It was interesting to hear Slash on CD stuff for the first time, but he can't rescue these songs...

Nooooooooooooo not one more CD song

    And one of the worst.

I'm sorry, but if Axl really spent over 13 million dollars in the production of CD, songs like prostitute, shacklers revenge, Rhiad, Oh my God, silk worms and sorry are embarrassing.

MJs Scream was also very experimental, but you can see the invested money in the music video. Where did the money go during the CD production?

    yeah much better

i suppose axl could or should have done a piano and voice tribute like that?

then duff and slash could kick in during the chorus?

it should sound better and it would be a less obvious cover

    ===

this piano and voice idea gave me another idea

it should be a good time for the aliens to have a break?

like richard and melissa and dizzy could go on for a beer? maybe frank could join them?

cause these guys work really hard and they are so talented that they play so many extra notes and added fills and they must be so tired to add so many creative things on the classic GNR songs and I am sure they are exhausted right now so they surely deserve a beer break during the set or something?

maybe they could do an extended break for the entire set? they surely could use a bit of a rest? maybe roadies could take the guitar and drum parts for this song? or maybe for the entire show? or the entire tour?

these alien guys work so hard and they are so talented and restless. I cant understand why is that axl dont allow them to rest for a full song or a full show or a full tour!

a full tour! they certainly deserve it!

com on axl, give it to them!

Yup, a creative Axl from the past would have done this piano only tribute with Slash and Duff stepping at the end.

You know what's also lame... IMO Slash is also creatively blocked since he is back in GnR. He did some nice riffs for his solo stuff. The fact that he didn't even play the solo in BHS is just a side note, but this whole reunion simply doesn't sound right...its not even Axl, 4tus and Frank. Slash and Duff are also playing like employees.

guns n roses outshoned every band that there ever was from 1985 to 1991 and axl outshoned every singer that ever walked on this planet during the same period

even at his "then" worse times, 1992-1994, when he clearly didnt wanna be in what was left of Guns n Roses, axl kept outshining people

evidences of GNR/axl outshining the entire rock world are abundant and include stones/jagger, aerosmith/tyler, beatles/lennon, queen/freddie and acdc/bon

i am 100% convinced that axl could outshine anyone 1985-1991, including cornell, sinatra, barry white, king diamond and even that guy from slayer -- he just couldnt help being the best singer ever

today, on this bullshit guns n aliens tour, with this bullshit clean voice, with these bullshit backing musicians, its a whole different story

I agree. As Aerosmith said once: GnR had the torch of Rock n Roll til 1993. Even with the loss of Steven and Izzy GnR did an epic live tour. People were satisfied with Gilby and Matt. It was the perfect live rock band. Only Queen was at their level back then.

GnRs first bad choice was NOT doing a MTV unplugged. It could have been the best MTV unplugged ever. Releasing that and a live era live album from 1993-1996 would have been the perfect choice back then. And in 1997 they should have released an album with new material. With Axl/Duff/ Izzy/Gilby/Matt back in the studio.

Even if Axl's voice would have sucked. It would have been ok. And then GnR should have taken a break with solo projects. The perfect timing for a reunion would have been 2004. With Axl/Duff/Slash/Matt/Gilby or Kushner touring.

I like that project.  I gotta say though, it sounds similar enough to any given Brain/Bucket collaboration.  Not sure what Melissas contribution is in this track - the bass?

Same with a similar projects that brain, sacutaro and all those guys are on.  Melissa is on some tracks and they sound like the rest of the tracks.

Like she said in her GNR interview she knows when and how to stay outta the way and just add to whats happening around her.

Her skills are not professional at all.

You have to be kidding? Rose is wheezing and not hitting any of the notes! The guitar solo consisted of aimless widdling. The whole thing plods.

First of all, BHs is a mediocre song compared to GnR hits. It has this very depressing grunge sound. So, for me it was always a bit difficult to listen to this song with pleasure.

Axl is OK on this one. The double voice with Mickey was a bad idea. Why can't Melissa sing it? 4tus solo = pointless.

I know, it's just a tribute song. They had not had much time to improve it, but I hate it, when a band like GnR is just covering a song. Their interpretations of live and let die, wild horses and since I don't have you are good, cause they were doing it their own style. The intros with Only women bleed, Sail away sister, Mother and Video Child were awesome. Kohd and whole Lotta Rosie are perfect.

Since there is no new material it's really a shame that Axl is not covering some VR and Slash stuff...i think all of us would be totally fine with it. And it simply makes no sense, if it's true that Axl likes some of his stuff (By the sword f.ex.)

This is the best tribute of BHs so far. Cause she is doing it her own way.

Maybe they should've left Black Hole Sun until a few shows in. You could hear on sections of the verses where he was going for the rasp sound but it just wasn't there and as a result it made him sound off key. This is gonna get heavy media attention so I hope they don't rip him to shreds and scare him away from playing it again haha.

It wasn't actually too bad I just think he is capable of really nailing it. Hopefully they play it in London. Axl will be on top form by then.

I'm not convinced by 1:1 covers like this. Live and let die, the Godfather theme and Kohd are covers that GnR interpreted in their own style.

Since they are not attempting to record new material, it would be totally fine if Axl would cover Slash songs.

I'll tell ya what drives me fuckin nuts at a show, especially a big outdoors show, is people who talk and talk and won't shut the hell up. You don't talk at a movie, why would I want to hear you at a concert? Tons of people on that FB live feed just flapping their jaws and not even listening one iota. Stay the fuck in the parking lot if you're just gonna talk, or better yet, home!

    /end rant

yeah, i hate those people. they should simply chant IZZY STRADLIN and STEVEN ADLER through the whole concert instead. That loud that you can't even hear Axl singing anymore.

Right, except for the tons of thousands who attend the shows every second night all around the world. You're living in your own little phantasyworld, aren't you?

The Police and Simon and Garfunkel also filled stadiums during their reunion tours. We're these shows great? No.

Guns n' Roses is a brand which will always sell tickets, like Matrix, you know...the 1st movie was epic and perfect, while the sequels were horrible. Do I hate The Matrix and am I just bullying the Wachowski Brothers, I mean sisters, no, I'm not. It's just a fact, when most people say: GnR were great til 1993, but since then, nah.

Being a real fan is not licking Axl's ass, its about constructive criticism, too. Axl is ignoring it totally, which makes a lot of fans angry. And guys like you are co-responsible for the fact that we still have no real reunion.
