The only CD era songs that the old band worked on were possibly This I Love and Oh My God. All did parts of TIL on the piano in 1993 and I'm pretty sure Duff and Matt heard OMG but "failed to see its potential."
Potential? This song is horrible and doesn't sound like GnR at all. Since Duff said they worked on a song for a Jackie Chan movie back then, I think, 'Checkmate' was one of o few CD songs Duff and Matt knew about.
IMO Cure me or kill me, Beggars and hangers on, Back to the moment, Fall to pieces, Slither, Set me free, etc were songs considered for the post UYI era. These songs simply sounds like GnR. And since Axl didn't want to put lyrics on them, they did it with some other voices.

It's a super hot summer day in Germany.

More or less this. Fortus is a better fit than Gilby was for sure but he's no Izzy.
I have nothing personal against Fortus, but could you guys just stop the myth that he is a great guitarist? The truth is, he has no credits on Chinese Democracy or any other pop/rock track. The only memorable guitar work of him, I know, is this:
Which is a bit weird... IMO his and Frank's style doesn't fit with Slash's, while Gilby's style fits perfectly. Plus, Gilby can carry an audience.
Richard should join Enrique Iglesias again:

richards a great musician but he'll never EVER be able to fill izzys shoes. i personally never even compare the two. ive always seen richard as a great fill in for gilby
Frank, 4tus and Melissa are just in the band because they are cheaper and Axl has more supporters around him. We will never get a AFD and UYI reunion tour, because there would be always a 1:4 veto when it comes to important band direction questions.

Why would anyone expect this to be a 30th anny show when there's no mention of that in the press release? Don't expect anything. Nothing will happen. Same old set list.

Did they only record November Rain at the Orpheum Theater in L.A. back then?
Imagine a whole set + VHS release back then...

They should replace Melissa with Asa Akira.

What does the LITHO design mean?
Probably the most famous spot in Danzig.
They were also famous for Amber in the past. That's why the stadium has amber colored glass.

The fact that people were fine with Sorum and Gilby says it all actually. Both did a perfect replacement job.
Sorum made this album sound more epic, which was Axl's intention. He is a very professional drummer in general. Frank seems like an amateur next to him and Adler.
Sorum and Adler should be part of this tour.

Dont flatter yourself. Trolls like you don't offend me. I just find it hilarious that you constantly try to make judgments that you couldn't possible be serious about, unless you're just here to troll or live in an absolute fantasy world. I think for you both apply. You can say slash looks bored as much as you want, but its just ridiculous and has nothing to do with honesty or whatever the fuck.
Have you ever heard about the freedom of speech, Merkel-boy? You're living in your own fantasy world...GnR has to compare themselves with themselves from the past. GnR's curse is that they delivered on almost every show between 86-93.
I'm ok with the fact that Axl's current voice won't reach the old one. But it's only acceptable for me if the rest of the band is fine. It was a totally different vibe when Adler was on drums in 2016. Fortus and Ferrer can't reach the level of perfection GnR stand for between 86-93.
If you don't hear that, you're simply fine with every GnR transformation. Imagine a Beatles tour without Lennon and Ringo and a different Paul voice. Would you be fine with that? Well, I think you would, but I wouldn't.
And the next problem is: Izzy, Adler, Matt and Gilby are as bitter as every 'hater' here. So saying that we're all just a couple of negative party crashers is just bollocks. We are just defenders of their glorious past.

The cheating starts with Frank, 4tus and Chinese Democracy.

I bet 80000 Londoners might feel differently tonight
Imagine 80.000 chanting "Same old shit", "We want Adler!", "Where is Izzy?" and when the boys go "Steven Adler!" the girls go "Izzy Stradlin!"

what a voice !!
and what a drummer !
This video made me a GNR fan. As a kid I was impressed by the crowd and the performance itself. It's absolutely perfect.
The post 1993 Kohd versions are horrible.

I wouldn't even take one for free...Dr Pepper is horrible.
I don't get how anybody could like it.
Yup, only the sodas with chemicals are worse. My first Dr. Pepper was my last. But like Cola it was a actually sold as fake medicine back then...so the horrible taste was intended.

Ah Christ.
Some people are never fucking satisfied.
Dude, you can't deny the facts. Adler, Izzy, Matt and Gilby ain't satisfied as well. So it's obvious that a lot of fans ain't happy with that farce tour, too.
And yeah, I know... Pitman is bitter as well...but it's just Pitman.

Chinese Democracy is a patchwork of many ideas, musicians and producers. None of these tracks sounds done.
Go in a studio, record a song, add some digital elements. Ok.
But every track on CD sounds like they edited a song 100 times. With tons of different musicians, cheap pitman elements, etc. It's better than Beach Boys Smile, but that's it.
Like DieselDaisy said, the first IRS leak sounded very interesting cause it had a blues vibe and wasn't edited that many times.
The ideas of CD were interesting in terms of an Axl solo record. It still completely failed as a good rock album. And it was blasphemy to label it as a GNR album.
The costs of 13+ million dollars crowns this disaster.

Don't feel bad about being old guys, you're like the cool older kids who were lucky enough to be around in GNR's prime!
I ended up missing this show, how was it?According to xBrownstonex: best gnr crowd ever.
Dude must have missed some UYI concerts.
