Yeah it's not exactly an every day occurance. The only thing I can think of is that Slane Castle is really out of the way, so I imagine people aren't gonna travel all that way just to go to a soundcheck for an hour or two (if they're even aware of it, no guarantees Axl would be there) and then go all the way back to wherever they're staying/live. Most people would only be willing to do that on the day of the concert. So probably not many people were actually there to hear it. The less people, the less likely someone is gonna record. Statistically anyway.

    Lol

    still better than 4tus

there's people camping right outside the stadium, you can't gag order them dude, come on man

no, i'm talking about that vid with del and vanessa...you can hear axl, but they never film him at soundchecks. the guys outside the concert stage cant zoom in with their mobile phones.

It's a bit odd that there's barely any footage of Axl at the soundcheck. You'd think whoever told you about hearing it would've immediately recorded it. Plus if there's others who are saying they heard it too surely there should be some footage? Weird.

    gag order.

  4. This setlist should definitely include all epic slash intros from the UYI, an acoustic version of dead horse with Axl on acoustic guitar, the UYI version of Kohd, One in a million and Slither.

And since Slash is giving tribute to CD stuff. I would love to hear some Slash hits with Axl. Give into me, Always on the run, By the sword, World on fire, Watch this, Set me free.

 No wonder he fucking hates the media.

Yeah. It's shameful that they are writing negative stuff about a guy who let the crowd wait because of watching Turtles II: The secret of the ooze.

At least he is loving his fans and is regularly communicating with them online, while other bands are teasing their fans with overhyped additional concert announcements <3

‘Axl’s management said he was watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and that Axl’s attention was 100% on the movie and couldn’t be bothered.'”

Spot on.... That is the biggest issue.. The chemistry between Slash and Fortus.. My ears hear it. It has gotten better over time but this is the worst pairing Slash has ever had chemistry wise.. Slash is a beast and makes it work though... Sometimes better than others..

It's obvious cause 4tus is not a blues guitarist and was no guns fan before joining the band. So he doesn't understand the specific GnR vibe. Gilby does.

In a normal GnR world there should have been always an open door for Izzy. Like it actually have been during the UYI tour. Gilby broke his hand, Izzy replaced him. Izzy is important for the songwriting, Gilby had a great live chemistry with the band. And he improved since then. Just look up his solo band concert in Argentina. Great vibe, awesome chemistry with the crowd and bluesy rock sound.

The perfect GnR tour would involve Axl, Slash, Izzy, Gilby, Matt, Steven. And two female background singers for some songs. That's my definition of a perfect live GnR experience. And of course more surprises in the setlist like Slither, Set me free, some Slash solo stuff,  some other covers than the seeker.

While saying this, I know, it will never happen. So, all I want now is more pro shot stuff from the UYI tour. That's at least just a bit more realistic.

Everybody loves Izzy BUT everybody knows Fortus is a much better guitar player. The band knows it, Axl, Slash and Duff know it and that's why Fortus is a KEY MEMBER of the band (like it or not, the guy is an absolute KEY MEMBER of the band)

The gigs are much better with Fortus, he is incredibly good, solid and the guy is a real showman, he really entertains the crowd... Izzy is a good songwriter, but he is no good onstage and can't really play the songs.

Plus, Fortus is an incredibly LEAD guitar player too and it's a great combo with Slash.

I love Izzy but come on... Fortus is a million miles ahead.

izzy is the studio songwriting guy. gilby was the perfect live guy for slash. 4tus doesn't fit with slash at all...robin f.ex. would have fit better with slash.

Yeah, I did. Who hypes up a big announcement only to announce they're doing the same thing they have been doing for years? But, of course, it's Axl and Guns N' Roses. I should just expect worst case scenario every time, right?

Once for all. Slash, Duff and Axl haven't recorded anything new since their reunion and since they are on tour for the rest of the year, there won't be new material. If Slash and Duff really signed a 2 year contract, we won't see them in GnR til 2019 or even 2020. GnR is done at the end of the year.

  9. If their contract really ends in December 2017. Do you think that Duff and Slash can talk openly about their reunion experience in 2018? Til now Josh Freese is the only guy who gave some critical behind the scenes infos.

Buckethead f.ex. always reacted like this:

Being that you obviously enjoy being a mysterious, anonymous figure in the music community and appear to be fairly reclusive, was it difficult working with Axl Rose, someone who seems to be fairly over the top and in love with the spotlight (at least in some twisted way)?

    No answer.

Did you get frustrated with the fact that you were a member of Guns 'n' Roses for four years and nothing really ever came of it besides a few concerts?

    Again, no answer.

Why are people disappointed? This was CLEARLY an announcement for more tour dates. Otherwise why would Ticketmaster + an LA radio station be hyping this? There STILL might be doing a surprise 30th anniversary gig. We don't know.

But did people really think the radio station was gonna drop a new single or something?

People are pissed cause this band was epic and unpredictable between 86-93. + Perfect production value.

Axl is teasing the fans for over 20 years. He destroyed the brand with cheap promotions, horrible merchandise, almost no fan community and media work, the highest production costs for only 1 album, like 20 different musicians, the same setlist for years, lame covers like the seeker and beautiful, etc. And he is not listening to fans who just wanna see the old guys and some new content.

He is ignoring the fans. It's a fuckin fact. And Duff + Slash joined this horrible behavior, when they signed their gag order contract.

To hear Axl's awful voice in crystal clear quality? Unless Axl records all new vox, a bluray from NITL would be a disaster to the band's legacy. Just like Apettite for Democracy was.

Let's face it. His amazing voice won't come back. And as long there are people like Del James and Jarmo around him, we won't see any changes in the setlist, promotion, etc...

I hear you. I really, really do.

As I keep saying though; the only way to call them out is to vote with your wallet. If I don't like a product, I don't give the company that makes it any money. That's the most you can do.

I appreciate your statement, but then I don't understand why this forum supported NuGnR for such a long time, while critics and Old GnR supporters were treated like enemies between 2002-2008.

Maybe then we would have had this 3/5 reunion 10-15 years earlier.

LOL at people laying this all on Axl (again). Yeah, right, Duff and Slash are just two timid boys he wipes the floor with.

Seriously, they just have a bit more impact on Axl and earn a lot more money than other band members. But the fact that there are no interviews with Slash and Duff indicates that they are not allowed to speak for their own. So, they are well paid floor wipes.

I agree on many points, however this is probably the doing of the social media team, which is as we know, is one of the worst in existence. It's hard to say how much influence Axl or anyone else directly in the band have over PR efforts.

The media team is so amateurish that it must be Fernando / Jarmo himself. But the main problem will always be the same: Axl. They had Azoff in their camp and still nothing happened with regard to promotion...because of Axl.

The merchandise is probably also the worst in the business.
