Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven weren't objectively GNR?

    Sorry my mistake mate

They weren't the only lineup of GNR. There was a whole thing about it.

Sorry off topic I know, is your username a prince reference, a very obscure Prince reference haha!

It is indeed. I see you're a man culture.

If you don't see the difference it's not our fault.

It never was about the Richards, Gilbys or Melissas. It was about Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven.

    5 members > 3 members > 1 member

So it's not about what is objectively GNR, but subjective i.e. your favourite lineup?

I wonder how many tracks from the Pitman disk will end up on this album. Was Rick ever able to confirm the tracklist?

Rick lied. Pitman was never selling anything. He just wanted people to think he still had something after his hoard leaked.

is soul monster the same as elvis and me?

It's just an assumption based on the Elvis reference.

We have nothing to suggest that 'Me & My Elvis' is necessarily the same as 'Elvis Presley and The Monster of Soul'.

I get the feeling the whole "[working title] became [unheard song]" thing is just people wanting there to be as little unheard material as possible. Without confirmation it's all just assumptions.

The Maxfield shit was first done 2 years ago now I believe it was?

It was the same time they did a load collabs including the Harley Davidson one.

From what I can tell, the Maxfield stuff was from a pop up shop and is now "available for the first time ever online", meaning they inevitably had piles of shit left over that they couldn't sell.

linking the band merch with a high end designer is something i'd never have believed until i saw it myself. TB love trolling the fans. They have no idea what fans want. Wankers.

Imagine trying to sell high end designer towels.

I bet The Pitman doesn't even get royalties from them either.

Maybe I'm not cool enough, but I truly have no idea what "Maxfield collection" means. That seems to be the reason for the insane prices on this particular line of merch.

Maxfield are daft cunts who think people will be stupid enough to pay $55 for ice cubes, $125 for A FUCKING TOWEL and $300 for Fermanager's shitty jackets that make you look like a high school meathead.

I bet they wonder why they couldn’t sell 10,000 boxes of vinyl and bs trinkets for a thousand bucks.

Maybe because you treat the fans who would want and possibly buy that type of stuff like unwanted ingrates. Niceness goes a long way in that regard at that price point. It’s a bold strategy moving forward for a legacy act.

Exactly. The only portion of any fanbase that buys that kind of crap is us, the hardcore fans, the very same people who the band and management treat like complete shit. And I'm sure a lot of us didn't even think about buying that anyway. I myself settled for the 2 disc set, and that was only beacause someone gifted it to me.

Just look at how they've treated fans who've thrown thousands at the band to follow them on tour.

Fucking idiots. It's almost as if they're deliberately trying to sabotage their own business.

They did, with Paradise City and Nightrain.

Problem is, the artist formerly known as 'Warchild' signs up and is allowed to post, meaning immediate disharmony.

This idea might be a bit wild, but one way of fixing this would be if TB, like... didn't let him do that?

I don't manage a major multi-million dollar artist though, so I could be wrong.

Maybe i't have the wrong impression, but i feel for first time that  @downzy feel bit disappoint about TB, is like he triyng the best to reach good relationship with them, but he find TB are an wall impossible of to penetrate.

The only thing that has been penetrated in any way in all this has been the fans.

As I have said quite a few times, I don't think all hope is lost. And I am genetically wired against quitting. But I am not criticising those who have given up, I am just trying to rally people for another effort. We all want the same here.

    You're a real masochist aren't you?
