Who cares about sounding dated? lol I never understood that criticism. All music can be identified by the time period it was created. What does that even mean? lol it doesn't make OMG any better or worse of a song.

I've always loved OMG. I love everything about it. The guitars, the arrangement, the chorus, the bridge, Axl's vocals, the solo. Everything. I never understood why it's always referred to as a demo. It's a kickass song as it was released, and for GnR history, is very unique, being the only song released with those that played on it. Imagine a band with THAT lineup? Fuck yeah.

By they'll try maybe Slash, Duff, and the others, but not Axl. I don't think he has any interest in new music whatsoever. He obviously has barely any interesting in releasing the music from 20+ years ago!

Exactly. The plan for releasing the leftover ChiDem songs is at outlined, with potentially 2-4 more songs to release. The new album plans are not actual plans, just Slash expressing his own desires. I am of the opinion, and I believe rightfully so, that there will never be another newly written GnR song ever written or released. Not with Axl as the singer at least.

There are multiple conversations going on right now that have nothing to do with a new album, or even about GnR! This thread is such a joke, just like the last one!

And that's my ONLY point. Not that Fortus is a better player, or more important than Slash, like some of these people seem to think people and myself are saying, which nobody is. \ ONLY that when it comes to CHIDEM songs should Fortus being playing leads and solos.

Yeah, that session player who has been in the band longer than Slash & Duff combined and who also has an actual direct connection to the ChiDem songs, and who can play the solos properly, unlike Slash, who sounds abysmal on them at best

Robin, Bucket & Bumble are the only voices I'd actually believe on whether or not there are more than a handful of finished ChiDem songs with vocals ... If only they'd speak!

The only reason I say non GnR related is because we know how these guys are. We've been played and fucked with so much over the years. Don't be surprised when some new commercial or cameo comes out with Axl & Slash recorded parts .... IF they are indeed in their for GnR then yes it's definitely Perhaps That was the reason why UYI was a double album. The band wanted to clean the slate, get out everything they've done as a band up to that point to then be able to start fresh.

They have not been touring as a reformed band, they've been touring with a new guitarist, bass player, and keyboard player, the two guitarists happening to be original members. And I was referring to the entire history. Perfect Crime? OMG? Going Down? Etc etc etc

Yup, which is what I keep trying to explain, especially to Soul Monster, that just because Slash said "I don't remember exactly how many we did" doesn't mean that's a chance there's more than just a few songs they reworked. He specifically said 1-2 more another 1-2 then that's it. There is no ChiDem2 being released. We know that for a fact.

I obviously don't know, just making a sarcastic joke, because let's be honest here, for a man who hasn't released any more ChiDem stuff since 2008 except two songs, one being silkworms, you really think he's spending time listening to those old demos from 20+ years ago? I don't.

We have a lot of evidence of songs being on setlists do not directly relate to songs being played of released. It's a theory.

Those songs haven't been listened to, let alone worked on, by Axl in over 20 years. The only evidence of any song coming is Perhaps and that's only because they've been rehearsing it. The General is just a theory. We have no indication that any other song other than Perhaps is on the way.

So is this going to be the new theory that gets discussed to death? More songs from Appetite era existing and coming out? Even though we already know they've released everything there was .... 🤦🏻‍♂️

You've just fabricated in your head something that does not exist and will never release as you described. Slash said the old ChiDem songs are coming out first .. Before a new album. And he did not say they would work "more" on the new album, he said they would start working. There has been no work yet. NOTHING

What's sad is having a thread reach 1000 pages, and now a 2nd thread at 182 pages, for discussing a new album that the arguably #2 man, Slash, has confirmed DOES NOT EXIST and constantly theorizing and speculating in so many circles that there's permanent dizziness If you think people here that post the things they dont take this serious, then you're just as crazy
