  1. Why? This has been discussed to death. He has his own band for creative output. GnR as creative band ended back in the 90s for him. He gets paid very lucratively for touring with GnR. There is no reason he should or would want to leave.
  2. Yeah, it's an older stadium in rural PA. It is what it is. Only ~2 hours from where I live so well worth the trip for me. I'm definitely not going to East Rutherford lol
  3. I just know better than to put weight on expectations of time specific deliveries with this band. Especially when those expectations come from theories, and not from the actual band themselves. They've been sound checking Perhaps so it's obviously one of the reworked ChiDem songs they're planning on releasing. They aren't going to just not release it all of a sudden. It'll come when it comes.
  4. But that still isn't concrete "will be released on this date" evidence. You can't be mad at them for not releasing something they haven't themselves announced is going to be released. I think the fact that they're playing Illusions deep cuts for the first time since '93 is reason enough to go. Protesting seeing them (when there may not be many more opportunities) over a 20+ year old song from a different band not being released I think is silly.
  5. There never was a plan for a release this week though. The band has not spoken a word about Perhaps. You should be sick of letting yourself fall for every forum theory as if it's concrete fact.
  6. I don't remember that. My favorite part of the night was the very end during the outro to Paradise City where Axl does the city shoutout. He said "Hershey" in his high rasp voice and then "Pennsylvania" in his real deep voice I think about it all of the time lmao
  7. Yeah, there's a very long and negative / toxic relationship between the hardcore fans and Team Brazil. I can't speak strongly on the specifics of that bad blood history. Maybe some other members that know it better can help answer that for you.
  8. I don't think anybody hates or dislikes Beta due to lack of new music. I think it is entirely due to how she has acted towards and things she has said about the fans online.
  9. I get why everybody shits on the show, because they're comparing it to the rest of the 2021 leg, and while it did suck that they stripped down the stage effects, and it was a shorter than usual set, it was still a really fun time. I got to hear Slither and DEAD HORSE live for the first time, and my best friend and girl friend got to see GnR live for the first time and they finally (after all the videos I had shown them of Axl over the years) understood just how powerful his voice is.
  10. Absolutely. I'm not denying there wasn't wasted potential, and from '93-'16 the band's history is less than stellar. Of course there was wasted potential. Nobody denies that. That wasn't my point though. From 2016 to 2019 their tour became one of the highest grossing tours of all time. They made more money than bands of their time and groups and artists of the modern era. All on the back of their 30+ year old catalogue. That's a huge accomplishment, and to deny that as being successful is "deluded"
  11. It's not up for debate. GnR are a successful business. Just because you're upset that they didn't become the next Stones doesn't make them a failure. They make a lot of money every year. AFD is still regarded as one of if not the best debut albums of all time. They have multiple songs that still get regular daily radio play. Good thing you're not in charge of writing their story!
  12. They played Sorry for the first time at the Philly 2016 show. And yeah TWAT is something I've been waiting to hear. I'm really excited to hear Bad Obsession and PTU though because I thought those were songs I'd never hear live. I still think how crazy it is that I've heard Coma live multiple times.
  13. This time it's the first show in the country, but the 3rd of the tour leg so hopefully we get a good one!
  14. Ok well you can go look it up lol call it deluded all you want but a simple look at the band's wikipedia page shows an incredibly successful career. You saying "they could have been the next Stones" is deluded thinking when trying to downplay the impact and success they've had.
  15. Yeah it definitely would work great as an opener. For my trilogy playlists, I have Zodiac as the beginning of the grand finale for the 3rd part, starting right after This I Love for the same reason you just described.
  16. I'm talking purely financial success. The NITL tour is one of the highest grossing tours of all time. Since the reunion the band has profited over half a billion dollars. My point is all the complaining and criticisms we have fall flat when the actual reality is they are very successful in what they have been and are doing.
  17. They're still an all time best selling touring act though. So where from our perspective we see disaster, in reality they are incredibly succesful, more so then not only their peers, but contemporary acts too.
  18. Funny, my biggest problem with the 2021 version is the extended chorus at the end. Just feels awkward.
  19. The intro was my favorite part of the Village version. Because when the main riff starts coming in with the drums it builds a lot of anticipating for when the song actually starts with the fast drum roll and then Axl's vocals. Kick ass
  20. A new covers album would be awesome. The first one was dedicated to their punk rock influences. A new one should be dedicated to their classic rock influences.
  21. It's a legendary and kick ass classic rock song and GnR (as usual) do a fantastic job covering it. Also, it kinda is like Axl's theme song ...
  22. I'll take a well done cover any time over the train wreck that would be Axl trying to do Perfect Crime or Garden of Eden
