You misunderstand. If the plan now is only to release 4-6 reworked unreleased ChiDem songs, then that means that everything else that MAY have been previously ready to go (it's still all just speculation, I don't care what Axl said, he's said a lot that never came to be), is no longer ready to go, and is no longer planned on being released.

There is no album's worth of stuff good to go ... Slash said we're getting 4-6 songs total and that's it from what Axl had unreleased.

What third album almost finished are you talking about? CD2 was not practically ready to be released. There was 0 discussion from the label or band about CD2's release. We have no solid proof of any other vocals existing outside the leaked songs. And no, Axl saying 15 years ago he recorded vocals on Soul Monster 20 years ago, and Stintson saying he recorded vocals every year, is not solid proof. Axl told us we wouldn't have to wait 10 years for the next album. It's been 15 and no album is coming from Slash's word. Fortus said they were working on the new album every single year for over a decade now. Words are not solid proof.

Basically everybody kept petitioning for him to be banned because they were upset that Pele would constantly challenge them on their silly beliefs that new music was coming ... He was the only interesting part of this forum and since he's been banned it has been very dry and bland

I recently brought this up again the other day. There is a strong similarity in the chord progression in State of Grace as it enters the chorus that can also be heard in what we can hear of The General Axl didn't lie. He just didn't give a full picture. Sure, he recorded vocals for Soul Monster. Just not a full and complete recording that can be used for a release.

Soul Monster is so desperate for Pele to be wrong because he invested so many months and years arguing with him, and since Pele has been banned and those arguments forced to be over, Pele's argument has only continued to be given more and more reason to be correct.

Pele did always say The General would be one of the only few that they could release (due to already recorded vocals). Also, we still have no actual indication that song is coming. That set list evidence is not strong at all.

It's been my thought for a while now, that the songs Axl truly cared about releasing for the public to hear were put on the 2008 release. Everything else was obviously not all that important to Axl, given it's now been 15 years.

The way it ends is atrocious too. Instead of how in the leak after the solo the chorus repeats one more time then ends, they for some strange reason decide to replay the chorus multiple times at the end and it just sounds repetitive and bad. I haven't listened to the studio version since it came out back in 2021. The leak is better in every way. Same with Silkworms.
