There is no new album/music, for years folk have been making up stories as to how and when new music will be released (look in the archives).  What we are getting now is it, maybe another tour after this and then it will be goodbye.  No criticism here just observation.

All so confusing, I dont understand why one would not be proud of great achievement, but I am not there so cannot judge...just remain confused.

What is it ith this constant hinting at something that never turns out to be of anything relevant or exciting.  Gosh they must be laughing all the way to the bank listening to us all trying to guess at these things...

There's so much they could do- it's remarkable that this tour has literally nothing to promote it to people. A chance to see a band you could have seen in smaller, better venues many times in the past year again for a huge price? It's totally understandable that people are saying 'no thanks' really. 

There's literally no selling point with these shows, other than perhaps 'you haven't seen a gig for a while'.....which clearly isn't proving any draw whatsoever. 

If there was a song completed, even just one, they'd have surely used it as a carrot to sell these shows. That they haven't really tells you all you need to know. 

The whole situation from a business point of view is insane. There's always someone that will say 'oh Live Nation know what they're doing, they know better than you' etc etc......but if anyone thinks it was Live Nations plan all along to have a band playing stadiums that have sold so few tickets they're crackers. 

As a 'newish fan' it depresses me to have to agree with this.

They must be aware of this I dont get it.  This is not rock n roll anymore and I just dont understand why they are subjecting 'Guns n Roses the most dangerous band in the world' to the decline of what once was something really great, they really must not care.  I am perplexed, I hope I dont go on to treat any of my achievements in this way.

Wow the legal complications as well as the psychological issures  involved are astronomical.  Once upon a time a group of lads just wanted to make music and then...

I dont mind Duff and Slash doing other things I just wish they would do something with their own band.  

I really liked this, a different view for a different day.

I have noticed something interesting since tour dates were publshed.  Many posters, understandbly, have been fed-up with GnR and their lack of output and basically not being the band they once were and have become a nostalgic cash cow.  But since the tour announcements many have bought tickets and discussions have evolved around excitement again.  I am not being critical at all I am just curious as to why this is happening with all that they know, Axl's voice etc.

I feel dissappointed, I read an article yesterday that suggested Guns will be extending the reunion tour and little likelihood of new music.  What happened to 'New Chapter' I wonder.

I think Axl's looks matter so much to some people because he was so hot in his younger days and so it did add to the bands 'raunch' and sexiness...its rock n roll afterall.

Not just guys on here...Axl always made the most of his 'looks' and 'displayed' them to great effect so I think there is some expectation he would carry on with this age appropriate.  I bet there there were plenty of guys, straight or gay, who enjoyed this too, which is ok,  human species has always appreciated great beauty historically which is reflected through art etc.

Axl's appearance is talked about because he was so damned hot when younger and he put a lot of work into it, he obviously liked to look good.  Now he doesnt seem to care as much and I wonder if this has anything to do with his hair loss which, for somebody in his position, must have been pretty devestating.  As for his weight this could be due to a myriad of health reasons or just South American Cusine!  He did say in that video with the blond girl that he had been dieting so it is obviously an issue.  

As for his voice, maybe it is as good as it gets.

Just watched a vidoe of GNR in Rio 1991 and the crowd are just crazy which made me think are there any bands that ilicit that kind of response today  and if not I wonder why?  Any thoughts...
