The only "evidence" we really have is that a new album is really being worked on. The main Gunners have said so, along with comments on (Axl’s) material that already exists. It doesn’t collide with whatever Susan McK has said, because she didn’t provide any dates or schedules etc. I don’t believe it to be so hard to understand that just because they haven’t released it yet – particularly at the times when other bands do it, right? – that doesn’t mean there won’t be any new music.
Does it suck? Well duh. It could be "in the making" for another 3 years for all we know. But we surely don’t have any "evidence" that it’s not happening.I’ve said it here before – they’re old school guys, and I’d bet they don’t want to put out anything unless they can promote (i.e. tour) it immediately. Too bad they don’t at least release singles, videos etc. Sucks big time.
No offence intended but I do think you are being a little naive and setting yourself up for disappointment, but I hope you are right

Oh dear. What evidence? If evidence tells us anything, then that it will take a lot of time, but it might eventually come out. Even Axl said he didnt record all this shit just to keep it buried. So maybe think harder next time before posting.
Why....by 'evidence' I mean posts going back years asking for new music. Thats all. Sorry if it offended you.
-
Evidence from over the YEARS suggests there is not going to be any new music, something would have happened by now. Maybe Slash would like it to happen hence his ambiguous replies when asked about it but I dont think the other main players are fussed. Such a shame.
-
Maybe they are silent because there is not anything too talk about? I wonder why Duff's wife said she was listening to new music when it was apparently not the case? All very confusing but Slash never sounds very confiident when asked about new music, I will be very surprised if there is any, maybe all this 'hinting' is just a ploy to keep folk on board. Who knows.

Its not looking good here in the UK, high death rate with no easing of lockdown on the horizon. It looks like 2022.

I take it from reading past posts that Axl is not seen nor heard of between tours, I assume this is the case now? I just wonder if, a fter so long away due to covid, will he want to come back, how will his voice and physical fitness be...

Next we will discuss about Axls gardener.
I say its meaningless to post this in a GNR forum
Nothing is 'meaningles' and as Legendador says, its just a bit of empathy for somebodies suffering, somebody who we have heard of through Axl so there is some relevance here. I just cannot imagine how one copes with the loss of a child.

GREAT RELIEF! All around the world...TRUMP IS OUT! We can sleep at night. The great thing is President Biden is going to change many of Trump's toxic policies such as climate change, Iran, Covid etc
I wonder if Axl acknowledge the inaugeration, maybe it will be a spur to some music

Condolences to the Seymour family, very sad indeed.

Just listened to Axl singing Sailing in 2006, out of this world, almost made me cry at how amazing a singer he was. Did Rod Steward sing with him does anybody know and is this the only time he sang it? Also is it on CD?

Not sure what you’re basing the idea that regular American prisons constitute ‘good conditions’? And prison is cheaper than executing them due to the (obviously necessary) appeals process.
We seem to have similar thoughts as me on this subject which is great as I come across so many who would 'throw away the key'. In the UK we abolished the death penalty in 1966, but polls have been done since that, unfortunately, show a change of mind. For those in favour take into account that an innocent people are executed as history shows.

Has there been any cases say in the last 20 years where after execution it's been shown that the person was either innocent or that new evidence since has shown that their guilt was questionable?
If the answer is yes to either of those the death penalty has to be scrapped and the state is no better than a murderer. Its as simple as that.
Many cases also , through the hardwork of the Innocence Project, many who have spent years on death row are now free.

The first women since 1953 was killed by US state today even though a judge had pronounced her too meantally ill to undersand what was going on, this was done under the wishes of Trump. The folk involved should hang their heads in shame but the wont, the County Sheriff of Indiana has just given his worldly and educated opinion, something along the lines of 'she was really the devil come down blah blah'. I find it is the most reigious in the US who have this need for blood lust and eye for an eye, just sad. I have campaigned for the end of the death penalty in the US, mainly texas, and have had some difficult conversations with prison staff there who were just plain rude and I have to say missing a brain cell of two.
Thank goodness President elect Biden has stated that he will end this barbarous activity although he will have a fight on his hands with some states.

Slash has already worked on/recorded music for GNR. That's been done for over a year now, I think. I think it was the spring of 2019 when we know he was recording at Axl's. He always said his first priority was music for GNR, so he's been ready with that for a while now.
I didnt know that, thanks.

I didnt even try to get tickets for any of the US shows bc I dont believe they are going to happen. it took forever to get Ticketmaster to refund me last year, all the while I had to pay interest to my credit card company bc I had a balance on my credit card. things haven't got any better for me financially so I'm not going to waste any more money on credit card interest. perhaps there are others in the boat as well which may contribute to the poor sales
the reality is the US wont acive herd immunity until about 75 percent of the population had been vaccinated. so that's over 200 million people. the 2 vaccines have been out for less than a month and they have immunized 5.9 million people. More vaccines are on their way which will get things moving even faster, but how many people can realistically get a vaccine in a month? even if its 40 million per month, we are talking about nearly 5 months. and the 2 vaccines that are out will take 2 months from the date of the first shot to be fully effective.
so IMO I dont believe there can be a tour until October at best.
if they dont release a new album by then, I would think the only way the tour will generate any demand is bring back the AFD5 and announce they are playing the full AFD album during the show. that might be enough to get the casual fan to go to a show.
My heart goes out to all Americans, you have an awful lot to deal with at the moment. Better days will come, maybe when Guns get back touring we can fly in (yea remember aeroplanes!) and attend a show together
I meant all from the site:)

Hey this is really interesting, thanks for bringing it to our attention

Every time I read any music news Slash is constantly playing with various people, he obviously hates not working, so where is he getting time to do music with Guns? I suspect he is'nt which means no new music .

There seems to be a whole lot of judging going on about folk that nobody here has spent a minute with. Drugs can be an issue with many kids it just so happens these have well known parents and so have the the whole world looking in on them. I hope the media keeps its nose out allowing them to find their own way without having to cope with unqualified chit-chat.

But maybe the people you hang about with would not like Guns n Roses anyway, I have experienced the opposite...

He doesnt need too as Trump is on his way to the exit...a world wide sigh of relief! Also every time Axl tweets anything politial there is a contingency who like to make it known that 'he shouldnt be political in public' , so I imagine he lays low, cant blame him.

There must be quite a lot of pressure due to who their dads are, it was very quick though.
Any theories why Axl is such a prolific tourer in the last decade?

Maybe he is going to retire at 60 and wants to get to see as many people as possible before hand.
