  1. Um, no he didn’t. Where did you get that info?
  2. I don’t get this. Why would you go to see GN’R and want to hear more Melissa vocals over Axl’s? I’d gladly take full helium Mickey Axl over Melissa any day.
  3. 31 songs for the opening night of a tour is pretty impressive. Bad Obsession sounded pretty great, as did Pretty Tied Up, though Axl gets out of time around the 3 minute mark of PTU and never recovers. It still amazes me the Axl can fuck up timing so bad while the rest of the band just carries on around him like nothing happened. Anything Goes sounded good instrumentally, but full Mickey vocals. Haven’t seen any footage of Down on the Farm yet.
  4. I’d agree about Anything Goes, but Bad Apples is a hidden gem for me on UYI1. Love the riffs and solos in it. What's the bet that if it does get played, it sounds like a train wreck I remain cautiously optimistic…
  5. 3rd song isn’t out yet, even though they played it in the video they released today. As for the consensus on the new songs? Sounds like exactly what you’d expect from them, but the mix is terrible. Aside from the vocals there’s like a static/distorted wash over everything that just sounds terrible to my ears.
  6. I love Foo Fighters, but I haven’t loved anything since Sonic Highways. Their albums that followed had a few good singles, but nothing as good as the early stuff. Still, I remain a big fan, because they always put on a great show, and from the rehearsal footage, Josh already fits right in.
  7. Wasting Light was an absolutely fantastic album. And probably the last great album from them, but they’re still a great live band. Watching the rehearsal footage of Josh with Foos, he is already complimenting them and fitting right in. I wish Axl kept him for GN’R, as he really is an amazing drummer.
  8. I first got into GN’R when I was around 13, in 1991. And then I was anxiously awaiting for a proper follow up to TSI, from Axl n Slash when I was 15. I just turned 45, and I’m still waiting (like we all are) for that follow up to TSI from Axl n Slash… 30 fucken years!!! Come on man!!! 30 FUCKING YEARS!!!
  9. It’s funny, for how much DJ gets ripped on for being not that great at guitar, his solo section that he did in Estranged, he played better than Slash currently does with that section himself. I think with DJ being a fan of the band like he says he was, he knows how much certain melodies that Slash played were held in such high regard, especially in songs like Estranged. And I thought he did a great job playing some of that stuff to the best of his abilities.
  10. There are actually 3 new Duff songs streaming services, including this one. Sounds like leftovers from his last album. Not necessarily bad, but not really great either. I was hoping for some new punky/rock stuff. This mellow stuff from Duff isn’t my cup of tea.
