Whichever one has Axl.
Like it or not, you are always better off with the voice of the material everyone knows.

I have also struggled with reconciling how the same Axl that only records vocals at gunpoint was so eager to re-record them for 'Live Era'.
But what the hell else makes sense? Many of us have those bootlegs. The vocals sound nothing alike.
I don't really see it as inconsistent. It was coming up with lyrics I think that was hardest for Axl during the ChiDem era, not necessarily singing. And the perfectionist in him would want Live Era's vocals to sound as good as possible.
Also explains why he'd do TSI and the Sympathy cover without much hesitation compared to singing new original music.
But do you accept that no re-recording of vocals was done? I do not.

The only guy that ever really did backing vocals back in the day was Duff.
And that does not sound like Duff.

Sane people aren't going to start believing Axl doesn't care what people think about him just because Fontus said so, right? I mean, one of the guy's defining characteristics is that he's constantly freaking out about something someone said about him somewhere.
Yeah, come on now.
He's Mr. Thick Skin now? Sure.
-
How about if they don't get it in one take?
That has to be frustrating on several levels.
-
Yeah, that's pretty much it. People always try to criticise Axl as if he is obligated to do things in certain ways, or even obligated to do anything. He isn't, unfortunately.
He isn't, no.
But there is no crime pointing out the foolishness of it all.
-
Is there a more frustrated fan-base than Guns N' Roses?
We have no one to blame but ourselves.
We obviously had a lot of friends that were fellow GNR fans once upon a time. They cashed out, we stayed.
Who made the better move?
-
#GNRLogicAnyone that isn't happy with the information that he just gave is never going to be pleased.
Yeah, come on.
-
Exactly, Gunner. And which of those pics seems more representative of GNR?
The first one.
Its a bunch of people that doesn't really have much in common standing around doing nothing.

No, you are absolutely right. Referring to a band mate, or employee, as a servant, is derogatory.
It is.
But on our list of problems with this whole operation, that's about #47 on the list.

man am i supposed to hate or love bbf now...??
Reckon it depends how one feels about Axl.

It's funny to see how people are still thinking old school and that this is like the billboard chart and that Casey fucking Kasem is reading it on the radio "and up to number 28 this week, right behind The Zack Attack, is BBF with the pink panthe theme!"
No.
That momentary chart ranking was obviously a happy little confluence of circumstances. Like maybe 3 people bought his download at once, and not many other people bought any competing songs, in the span of maybe 20 minutes, and so Ron's shit garbage wound up at 28.
I'm absolutely certain that song has no more than maybe 100 lifetime downloads, in the entire world.
Worth the "like" for the Zack Attack reference alone.

Where's the fckin new album ha? Are you kidding the fckin fans waiting for a whole life for a done material dumbfckers???? Leak the fckn new stuff dammit, some ppl can't wait forever and don't ever say again this crap that Axl doesn't owe you nothing, this is total bullshit,if a band called active then must give fans new music every 4-5 years at least.
"You wanna hear somethin'? Last week, this prick asked me to christen his kid. Yeah, for SEVEN THOUSAND, I charge!!"
-
Good thing I didn't spring for that plane ticket.

Maybe he wants to test the waters with Slash, and if it goes good, then do a reunion?? Plus the backing band sounds better than Axl's backing band does... So you would have the guitar, the voice, and a better rhythm section... Bring it on!!!
NOW WE'RE TALKING
-
And the reason Bumblefoot can't just admit he's out of the band is because he's not allowed to reveal anything about the impending reunion!
*takes off tin-foil hat*
IT ALL ADDS UP

It's random footage of the band on tour, why does it have to mean anything? Talk about reading too much into something.
Pretty much.
-
I like it.
-
Some of you make me weep for humanity.
-
Yeah, it would be cool if Axl weren't a total fucking douchebag to his fans. That would be great.
How is he a douchebag to his fans?
Oh dude. This is not the hill to die on.
Hahahahaha
So true.

You can read the script. It's called "Without You" by Del James.
They were gonna show why she only had one half her face showing in the casket.
Oh, I didn't know they were going to follow the book verbatim, I thought he meant they had a different concept.
Do you remember when the Estranged video debuted, Josh? Were you still paying attention to GN'R at that point? If so, what do you remember the reaction back then, like the immediate sentiment being? I've read the NR video was incredibly well received and was the most requested video on MTV for all of 1992.
OT but I actually just bought the Language of Fear the other day, it should arrive in the mail. I've never really read horror before so it should be interesting.
The video came out in early 1994, and it didn't exactly fit in with the stuff on the channel at the time.

Oh the band broke up alight, the brand did not though.Only a few cupcakes on Internet forums think the band broke up.
Correct.
Where are some of you living?
I'd argue that its only a few on internet forums that consider this Guns N' Roses.

I bet Jarmo hides that Slash t-shirt carefully these days.
It makes me wonder about Axl that he feels fulfilled in life, having these kind of people around him.
People do better surrounded by equals that they respect.
Do you get the impression they have much contact?
Don't get me wrong, I know he's backstage and hanging around. But so are a lot people, I would think.
Is there anything fundamentally wrong with being a nostalgia act?

There is nothing wrong with it, so long as you can be honest that's all you are.
And as long as people are going to get all butthurt about the label, we aren't there yet.
