Hot Fuss had some insanely catchy singles, but Sam's Town was stronger overall and much more inventive.Don't know what to make of this new one. It's nice enough, but the "Are we human? Everyone's gonna think it's "dancer" though which will add to the songs already high gay factor.I really like it. It's like an 80's pop song or something. wasted Posted September 24, 2008 Share Posted September 24, 2008 If the video is in laboratory measure humans then it will be Denser.I think they may not have decided.It's sort of like I, Robot.Human or Dancer.Denser really brings the song down to a very scietific, cold notion.Are we robots?Dense in the UK means dumb.So it's like saying Are we Human, are we dumber?they taken it down for an emergency studio session to clarify the denser/dancer lyric. I can admire what they're trying to do, but IMO they're not doing it very well... and this is coming from someone who dug the Springsteen stuff on Sam's Town when most critics were tearing that record apart. I had open expectations for this one, even after reading about them trying to do a disco-y poppy synth-y '80s album, but this is the least of what I expected. I fucking hated the Killers until their second album. I think Sam's Town is one of the best records I own. Flower's shows his awesome vocal range in comparison to the mundane/Morrisey sounding vocals from the first album.This song is pretty cool, I listened to it earlier. I've absolutely no doubt I'll love it within the week. About the lyrics... It sounds like he sings ''Are we human? Or are we dancer?''. Seen as that would make no sense, surely it has to be 'denser'?
