With the exception of a handful of songs, Oasis blew nards, and Blur owned them

U2 suck

Quite a lot of the time, Radiohead are painfully boring

Paul McCartney is a twat

Michael Jackson's adult work was soulless and sterile

Prince is the greatest living guitarist

Kanye is brilliant and hilarious and the entertainment industry would be a lot less fun without him

Nirvana saved rock n' roll (not a controversial opinion anywhere but here, granted)

Pearl Jam weren't that special until Vitalogy

Leonard Cohen > Dylan

Leonard Cohen > everyone

AFD was a total fucking fluke

I haven't minded anyone's posts in this thread, mainly due to the fact that this thread is intended for somewhat controversial opinions...but daaaaaaaang, THIS SHIT IS BAAAAAD.

Only one I don't really agree with is Radiohead, but I see where you're coming from.

Axlites are using their illusions regarding Axl because they have the bad habit of projecting their vicarious hopes, dreams and visions of grandeur on him.....80% of which are inaccurate.

My theory is it's brought on by the 14-20 year old male mindset, those still trapped in it and a percentage of chicks who are just flat out bat shit crazy.

post grunge>grunge

I find it really hard to believe someone actually thinks this.

I agree. Post Grunge is probably my least form of rock music there is.

I disagree.

I think you'll find more people actually enjoy bands like, our lady peace, bush, creed, third eye blind, stone temple pilots etc. over mudhoney, alice chains, and even pearl jam.

I actually don't mind any of those bands, but the only one I'd really call Post Grunge is Creed. The rest are more on the line of just Alternative Rock. But, I do think STP's first album has a Post Grunge sound going on, but I dislike that album.

Hip Hop music isn't half bad

That isn't an unpopular opinion. Hip hop is keeping music relevant. It's not like there's been an abundant amount of great rock coming out lately.

I was mostly speaking to the opinions of some on this board..

Not if you're looking for the same GN'R stick over again. I suppose it's more classed as indie but there's shitloads of great uk bands at the moment - Kasabian, Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Cribs, The Coral, The Moons, Biffy Clyro, Courteeners etc.

I wouldn't say STP were post-grunge, they became big when grunge went mainstream, not after.
