GNR 1991

Recommended Posts

Hey, do any of you Brits know if they are broadcasting the Reading Festival live on radio? In the Netherlands, the national radio stations often do so with the biggest festivals in the country. This could be another option for us?!?!?

with RATM a couple of years back it was known months in advance they wouldn't be shown. they made it clear.

with this Axl turned up and within a short space of time the BBC change their "live stream" schedule to remove Guns.

too much of a coincidence for it to not be the bands side of things causing the problem.

I'm just saying that it is VERY childish to blame this one on GNR management on the very instant the announcement was put on the BBC website, without knowing ANY facts. Complete nonsense. They allowed the Rock Am Ring broadcasting in 2006, didn't they? They allowed all the Rock In Rio broadcasting throughout the years, didn't they? They allowed the Inland Invasion broadcasting, didn't they?

And if it really is GNR management who prohibited the broadcasting of tonight's show, I am sure they will have their damn good reasons to do so. So quit your pathetic bitching please and quit using GNR as a scapegoat for your personal frustrations, and start enjoying the updates from the MYGNRFORUM members instead.

Foolish...

Or maybe Queen Mom overruled the BBC because she's a Slashlite being afraid Uncle Axl would start ranting live on how Slash' Snakepit is one of the worst attempts of making music ever in music history. Come on man, baseless assumptions. Don't worry, we'll find the true reason after the weekend.

hardly a baseless assumption.

every band are filmed and all headliners are broadcast 'live' unless the band refuse permission. it has been that way for years, i have quite a nice selection of proshot dvd's from the last 8 or so years of reading headliners.

There is a special on the Reading festival on BBC3 Will start around 22.25 UK time. The program info states:

Episode 2 of 7:Live coverage of the first day of the Reading Festival. All being well, Axl Rose will have allowed the best possible view to experience the live rock and roll extravaganza that is Guns n' Roses as they headline the main stage.
