ITW 2012
Anybody else think GNR should shut down their official site? That site is terrible and makes the band come off as a joke. Seriously, DJ Ashba joining the band is the latest piece of news on that site! And they still have old Tour Dates up as if they are current. I remember being all excited and signing up the site the first day it opened, but nothing ever happened. They may have hawked a few GNR beach towels and scented candles, but even their online store went down. The funniest thing is they've had a sign on that site now forever that says "New Online Shop Coming Soon." AmyL
As far as I understand it. GNR doesn't have control of that site. Am I wrong on that one anyone?
nambis
I thought the site was run my Major League Baseball or something like that, but AFAIK the gunsnroses.com domain is still controlled by GNR. so in theory, couldn't they just stop redirecting it to that site? (keep in mind that I know nothing about how the internet works)
ITW 2012
Axl needs to get his lawyers to send MLB (I believe they run it) a Cease and Desist, Bitchez letter. Edited April 21, 2011 by ITW 2012
Gnr Bar
it would deff be better to have nothing at all.but GNR camp doesn't give a shit about their "internet" persona!
Forsaken
Might as well. It is never updated nor maintained. The last known update was when DJ Ashba joined the band.
MR ROLLS
I find it weird that Axl supposedly strives to understand and incorporate new technologies in the studio but in this age of multimedia does the bare minimum in terms of a basic band website. DJ could do something cool.
Guest RonMexico82
Just give it to DJ and let him do something with it, on the one condition that he keeps those ridiculous cartoon avatar things from his chat room well away from it.

nambis
if i remember correctly, MLB was handling the site because GNR planned to do live streams from their shows, and MLB has the technology in place to do it.
