Yup, he's nocturnal...

He probably has something against having a regular sleeping pattern. Didn't he state in the old days that he would go without sleep for 2 days and then just crash?

" Nobody disturbs a sleeping Axl "

...except for Howard Stern?? :P

I've actually experienced a lot of this. It just comes naturally to some people. Also, I'm narcoleptic, which certainly has effects. I'm on second day without sleep now. You go through phases of awake, tired, tired, dying, tired, less tired, tired, dying, less tired, then fully awake and almost manic for a while, then crashing again hard. The longer you stay awake the more you behave and perceive the world as if you're getting drunk.

" Nobody disturbs a sleeping Axl "

Haha. This backfired on Hitler when none of his generals wanted to wake him up and tell him the Allies were making their D-Day landing.

I'm sure there's days he drags ass out of the tour bus. Having blacked out curtains makes sense if you have dealt with that piercing light shining right into your room. I don't think it's anything more than that, and it's probable Beta and fam checks all that out ahead of time.

Hmm... I have problems sleeping too, mostly because I used to force myself to stay up so I could finish my school/uni work (there just aren't enough hours in the day!). I also have a bit of an obsessive nature so if I find a subject interesting I will often forgo sleep altogether in favor of my latest obsession. Now its got to the point where, for no reason at all, I'll go through an entire week with barely an hour of sleep a night (sometimes not even that) and then I'll just crash and sleep for 24 hrs straight. I think I go these bouts of sleeplessness are somehow tied in with my anxiety problems and I should really get it sorted out or I might run into serious health problems when I get older.

For now it's convenient I guess considering how much work I get done this way...

And yes, sleep loss is actually more potent than alcohol in its sedative effects on the brain.

This describes me exactly. Especially the bit about fueling an obsession.

:rofl-lol: So if Guns fire Axl & get a new lead singer to take his place they still don't disturb a sleeping Axl? Or maybe just drive the bus to the desert & make their escape before he finds out :sleeper:

There's just something so...final...about sleep, you know? I mean, in someways, it's like dying a little bit. Here you are, living, enjoying life, maybe watching tv, or on the internet..maybe you're eating a piece of cake or out at the store at 2 am simply because it's cool to do. And then what? Time for bed? But what if you don't WANT to? That's how I am. There's a part of me that will never accept that sleep is a necessity. For some reason, my brain always viewed it as a choice and one I never want to make. Why would I want to sleep when there's always something better to do? Sleep is boring as fuck. Sleep is surrender...I hate it. I'd much rather be awake and doing SOMETHING...anything.

I kind of get what you're saying, it's like every night we go to bed so we can become unconscious on purpose for 8hrs or so. The concept would be weird to maybe an alien life form who don't have sleep. :krider:

apparently the nypost said that "Another source tells us that after their Monday night concert in Miami, the band “had a group of people escorted to the penthouse at 3 a.m., and they partied right through to 3 p.m. the next day.”
