That's nine years until the release of the album. Eight years would be sooner than nine years, so we can expect a new album in 2016 then. Soon is always a very powerful word in the Guns N' Roses world. Axl didn't lie before - he said he wasn't sure if "soon" was the word. That was in 2002. Ten years later, he's saying soon is the word.
