The Black
There are still some parties being organised in the Netherlands, however it's popularity has drastically dropped.

highvoltage
Whats Trap? It's kind of a combination of dubstep, hip hop and dance (sometimes they throw a bit of hardstyle in too). Usually characterised by really heavy use of this particular model of Roland drum machine patterns... tempo is usually slower and remixes usually pitch down. (the song that turned into that meme) is probably the most recognisable example (fucking awful though). At one end you have this kind of thing (eurgh):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDMIIQVdU-gAnd at the other, it gets pretty chill... this is mostly the sort of stuff I dig: Not a huge fan, few of my friends have thrown some decent mixes together though.I kind of wonder... If electronic music can be as audibly obnoxious as trap and dubstep nowdays, what's it going to sound like in 20 years?
Dazey
Whats Trap? It's kind of a combination of dubstep, hip hop and dance (sometimes they throw a bit of hardstyle in too). Hardstyle has absolutely got to be without a shadow of a doubt the single worst musical style in the history of mankind. Fucking horrible!
