Gordon Comstock
This is a pretty mellow, kick-back-n-relax album:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLW4Hb4SI_YThis album is much better IMO, but it's almost theatrical in how it goes from calm and relaxing into incredibly energetic and powerful. I describe the album as an "intense calm". Not to say that Take Care, Take Care, Take Care doesn't have its heavier/more upbeat moments, it's just not the same type of album as All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone. It's all instrumental by the way, which isn't for everyone, but I really like this band Edited June 13, 2013 by RickRoses

Estranged Reality
Check out Brian Eno's Ambient series. Or Apollo, which is breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing. There's also a very obscure ambient group called 1 Mile North and their stuff is awesome. I went through a big jazz phase and So What is still (rightfully) considered by many to be the best, or at least most defining, jazz track of all time.
