Beyond tragic.

"Police suspended after innocent man accused of paedophilia burned to death Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens says there are "some real questions that need to be asked" after the brutal murder of Bijan Ebrahimi who was burned to death by vigilantes after being wrongly accused of being a paedophile.

Bijan Ebrahimi, a keen gardener, took pictures of local youths as they attacked his plants and intended to hand the photographs to police as evidence.

But instead officers were called when he was seen with the camera and he was led away for questioning as residents chanted “paedo, paedo”.

Officers realised their mistake at the police station and he was released, but rumours had already begun circulating that he was a child abuser and two days later he was beaten unconscious, dragged into the street and set on fire.

His family believe that he was failed by the authorities.

“The police should have taken especially seriously his calls for help in the days before he was murdered,” they said in a statement."

Terrible, terrible.

James Comstock refused to buy a pack of cigarettes for his 19-year-old son, Tyler, and now he’s planning his son’s funeral.

“He took off with my truck. I call the police, and they kill him,” James Comstock told The Des Moines Register on Tuesday. “It was over a damn pack of cigarettes. I wouldn’t buy him none.

“And I lose my son for that.”

Comstock said he’s outraged police shot and killed his son Monday morning on Iowa State University’s campus.

Police began pursuing Tyler Comstock of Boone after his father reported the truck stolen. The truck belonged to a lawn care company."

And yet we had an earlier thread advocating war on pedophiles by anonymous computer hackers with none of that messy trial/jury/innocent until proven guilty stuff. A similar incident occurred in England where a paediatricians house was burned down by vigilantes who I guess didn't quite make it to GCSE English. I should talk too cuz i voiced support for it. I guess sometimes in the midst of fervour and zeal one can forget why judicial processes are so central to a decent civilisation.

I'd say they are guilty if they are soliciting sex from minors. Most of them can't be writing a thesis paper.

A guy just rescued a mother (a relative) from a man and killed him is said to get away with it.

My point regarding the importance of a judicial system still stands.

I don't agree with it. Of course, innocent until proven guilty. An innocent man just got killed by vigilantes and it is so sad.

I also believed a man killed Elizabeth Smart based on the certains details. Wrong, she was alive and he died soon after being an innocent accused man. Judging is unfair and unforgivable.

From what I've read of this, the kid was driving like a madman when the cops tried to get to him and was endangering people. Also refused to turn off the truck when told to do so.

This story is so depressing, he was begging for them to stop the beating.

"The trial in the criminal case of two former Fullerton police officers accused of beating homeless man Kelly Thomas to death two summers ago began Monday.

On July 5, 2011, Thomas was hospitalized after an altercation with six Fullerton police officers at a bus depot. Police were called to the location to investigate a report of a vehicle break-in.

Thomas was hospitalized and died five days later when he was removed from life support.

Former Fullerton Police Department Officer Manuel Ramos is facing one felony count of second degree murder and one felony count of involuntary manslaughter. If convicted, Ramos faces up to 15 years in prison.

He is the first Orange County police officer to be charged with murder while on duty."

San Francisco Police shoot & kill 19 yr old

Warning: the video is graphic.

Yesterday, at 4:45 p.m., SFPD shot a teenager who fled during a fair inspection on a Muni light rail car. The cops claimed that he was armed and had fired shots at them first. After the suspect was shot in the back, no gun was found. Doesn’t this sound

Seriously though, you shot a 19 yr old over a $2 fair? And he later died in the hospital, all because he didn’t pay a $2 fair & you assumed he had a gun. Back up arrived before an ambulance did. No back up was needed. There were already other cops on the scene, some even carrying assault rifles. The man was on the ground fighting for his life. That moment in the video where he struggles to even attempt to get up is some of the most chilling video I’ve seen. Ever.

It’s okay though right? America will probably ignore this & move on to some more mindless crap, as is usually the case. I’ve seen it before with the Oscar grant case, Sean bell,
, and countless others. When will this country’s collective conscious wake up?

In this video out of Texas, a cop is seen twisting a student's arm behind his back, then shoves it beyond the breaking point. You can audibly hear and see his arm snap. The student was already on the ground with another resource officer on top of him when the police officer decided to twist his arm as part of a "pain compliance" technique, why he then broke it is anyone's guess.

Two Rotterdam, New York police officers helping to remove a youth with developmental disorders from a school bus got tired of trying to reason with him, so he and his partner escalated to using physical force.

Surveillance video of the incident shows the youth was simply sitting in a bus seat refusing to move, after police grabbed him he is seen not putting up any real fight, at most he appears to be going limp. After pulling him out of his chair, the cops put him against a seat, then one cop decides to twist the youth's arm behind his back in a hammerlock, but then the cop winds up and decides to shove his arm even further, literally snapping his bones in the process.

Family sues for 1 million:

That cop knew exactly what he was doing. Piece of shit.

I HATE it when you see videos of people being tazed/shot/beaten and whilst they are screaming in pain the police continue to tell them "stop struggling!".

yeah i agree. what really pisses me off is when someone puts their hands in the air and 5 or 6 cops still slam the person to the ground or still tazes the person.

That is some video! He is not as smart I thought wasting beer like that.

I guess we can all throw out pepper spray, it ain't gonna do much.

I'd like to see the cops try that with a wealthy, influential person.

This is heart-breaking. So many stories like this involving pit bulls:

“Did you see the way its collar flew off up into the air when I blew its head off? It was awesome!!”

Sarah Jo Ellen Brown posted a dozen photographs on Facebook of her newborn baby meeting the family’s gentle pit bull dog named Cali just six months ago. On Wednesday, however Cali died; killed by a shot gun blast from Ardmore Police Officer Brice Woolly because he couldn’t capture the dog when she escaped from her yard.
