The Dutch people just looked strangely at my buddy and I as we ate the soggy things for breakfast after not having heated them far enough in that deep frying bowl that seems to be the most important kitchen utility for people from the Netherlands, but which was completely alien to us, and washed it down with a bottle of champagne and a bottle of white.
