Yep- it's very popular with the young people who would have been rock fans 25 years ago. What I don't like about it is, well, it's not country. Screaming guitar solos and rapping the vocals aren't country. And they're all young beautiful people, like American Idols. To me, good country is like blues. The older a performer is, and the more hard living they've really done in life, the better it is. But there is a lot of good new outlaw stuff out there. A lot in this thread in fact. Where you guys located? I'd highly recommend catching Shooter live. He's been touring with the Waymore's Outlaws, Waylon's band, he's only touring with them through March then he's hitting the road with his band. I've gone to at least 15 shows this year alone. Of the days he has listed at shootetjennings.com I'll be at 2 for sure, but he'll add more. His wife is actually from Kansas, she's a huge GNR fan.
