metallex78
I couldn’t find a topic about this band already created, so I thought I’d start one up. This is Matt Sorum’s new band with Steve Stevens, Geezer Butler and Franky Perez. They’ve released one song so far (Down In Flames), with another to be released later this week, and they’re playing their debut gig at the Troubadour tonight. Matt has said that they’ll play songs from each of their previous bands catalogues live along with their original material. So we can expect to hear Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, and VR and maybe some GN’R too. Is anyone from here going along to tonight’s gig? metallex78
Here they are playing Slither at the Troubadour tonight. Pretty solid performance, and Matt’s drumming is great. He’s definitely playing like he has something to prove!

Mendez
Listened to Down in Flames, I was surprised to see that I actually liked it. What sold me was the dissonant thing theyre doing (mainy the "long cold winter" part). The chorus is pretty catchy too. A more aggressive guitar tone would've been better, seems like alternative hard rock riffs, but with 80s classic rock tones. Solid track

metallex78
Here’s a recent live pro shot of Deadland Ritual playing at Hellfest in France. The band starts about 2 minutes into the video. Matt is playing his ass off!
