Blackstar
Updated the OP with more precise information about the publishing shares for The General: Axl's share is 40%; 30% is divided between Brain, Steve Freeman and Marc Haggard; 30% divided between Slash and Duff. There is also a change regarding the percentages for Hard Skool on ASCAP: Tommy, Robin and Paul Tobias now appear to jointly have just 3% of the song (last time I checked - about a year ago - their joint share was 11.5%). So it seems that Slash and Duff's joint share has been increased (from 11.5% to 20%). Axl's share is still 76% and Josh Freese's share 1%. Wonder if that's any indication that Hard Skool is indeed an older song, and Tommy/Robin/Paul's contributions were minimal. About The General, I remember that some guy (maybe *that* Robin Finck fan?) tried to fight me on YouTube saying that the outro solo was played by Marc Haggard instead of Slash. 2

If that is Slash playing the outro, it's the closest I've heard him come to Bucket's style. I thought it was Fortus or Bucket the first time I heard it. The General is interesting, as it doesn't really have a guitar solo. Prostitute is similar, though I guess it has what some could consider a guitar solo, through brief, and the intense guitar outro. (I'm not saying either song needs one, they seem to flow well without) As with Monsters, I'd love to hear the Buckethead version of The General to compare. That version probably also wouldn't have clipping. I'm still holding out we get to hear some more Bucket and Robin on future material. Some hope is how much of Chinese was incorporated into the Jersey Jack Pinball Guns machine, parts of CD songs are used throughout the game, and not just three whole songs themselves in the song mode. (Better, Chinese Democracy, and This I Love) Back to hearing more Robin and Bucket on future material... we got a few seconds of Finck on Perhaps, and towards the end of Absurd I can faintly hear Bucket's parts that was recycled from where it was during the bridge in the leaked Bumblefoot demo. Also the killswitch intro is probably Bucket. The jury it still out on if Bucket was on the official Hard Skool or not, it sounds a little different than the demo, so who knows. Could be Slash or Fortus (the part before the final chorus delivery)

I think he just hates anyone who isn't Robin. I have not so fond memories of him spamming me screaming about contracts. Caps lock on everything... Perhaps this would cheer him up, Robin Fink on Guitar and Josh Freese on drums, musically very NewGNR (maybe not the vocals)

There's an instrumental version of this too.
