firecrown
RHCP! They are releasing an album soon no?GunsguyYeah but RHCP is a headlining act. They would NEVER open for GNR. Neither would Audioslave or any other huge band. Somebody new and not so esablished would open for them. Like an Avenged Seven Fold type band. wasted
I think it will be a headline tour bcos they need to prove themselves, they cant go out with a big band co headlining. Axl normally pulls something out of the bag.

Alan Niveen
It has to be a band that will attract the younger audience, like Trapt or something.....In 2002, most of the audience were young fans.I think the problem was that most of the old fans didn't attend those shows because they didn't like the idea of a new line-up. Having Mötley Crüe as openers could be a good idea since it creates a link with the past : old fans could be interested as well as the younger ones. Appetite For Waiting
The choice seems obvious to me. We need a newish band, one that's struggling to find it way, one that isn't strong enough to headline large shows by itself, one that hasn't got good reception at festivals so far, one that is let down by its frontman, one whose first record wasn't all it was supposed to be, one that needs the patronage of a legendary rocker like Axl to help them make even a dent on the modern music scene - wait - I know - how about Velvet Revolver!
