I dont mind new songs...just a different setlist(put Yesterdays or Civil War in it)....and Axl specifically said in the KROQ interview that the setlist WILL change for the North American shows....and hopefully it will...there's still a little show left...but it's doubtful

We also don't know when Brain got sick. If Frank was called in at the last minute, probably safer to go with what he's already familiar with. Or maybe Axl's waiting for CD and thought he'd have it out by now.

is the update page from htgth down again? or did that prick ban me for the second time?

Jarmo most certainly can be a prick....but banning a douche is not prickish qualities...and if he banned you(for a 2nd time), I applaud him.

FINALLY a CD tune. Still the same shit though....

Guys you're not even a third of the way through the setlist...

Did you expect a new tune to start? Not gonna happen.

I actually don't expect anything besides IRS/Better, MAYBE twat... GNR never made it to Florida in 2002, and unless these people all have the leaks, they haven't heard those songs, so it's all new shit for them. Not everyone chills on the boards.

True!

I don't want them to reveal any more tracks from the cd theese last few weeks before it is released

You evidently have never heard of Robin Finck or Richard Fortus...

That is exactly what I am referring to. Finck sucks ass. Fortus is pretty cool but he is not good enought o carry a band by himself

I really don't think we will be hearing anything special tonight just because Frank probably doesn't know the songs and may have been called in at the last minute, just my opinion though-

Out Ta Get Me playing now

Jarmo has needlessly been a prick all week IMO... it's seriously turned me off HTGTH and I've been there since 2002 (and lurked before that). He's never even said shit all to me personally, I just can't stand the guy's ego and attitude at this point. It's why I'm here now instead of there.

It's gonna be important for this band to win over the US crowd. Much like they did at Donnington and Inland Invasion. They have a long way to go to be credible in a lot of people's eyes.

Show's not over yet. They may spring another new one. :)

But you can't expect them to do a ton of CD songs, the album's not out, people elsewhere complain when they hear unfamiliar material. People on these boards are pretty much the only ones who know the set list at all, the average rock fan sure doesn't. (It's lucky if they know the band is touring).

They are doing, what, four new songs or so normally? That's not so bad! Hey, they're out there and they're playing two hour sets, rejoice!

(And let's just drop the Family Guy stuff, k?) <_<

Does he have to change it tonight??? Jesus, the drummer is sick, maybe not as good time to deviate from the norm. I cant believe all the bitching on this thread, if he goes 2 or 2 1/2 hours and he rocks who friggin cares, damn. I just saw the show in SF and it was great, I would go see it again, exactly the same. I have tickets for Oak Dec 15th and I dont care what he plays. Dont you see this is all salad dressing, just enjoy it while it lasts.

in my opinion, jarmo isn't what HTGTH needs.

he's the type of guy that got his ass kicked in highschool.

he's the type of guy that was molested by his preacher.

he's the type of guy that bangs fat chicks.

he's the type of guy that thinks Mark Foley is just misunderstood.

he thinks Bush caused 9/11.

he's the type of guy that thinks his vision of what a GNR fan site should be is the only vision that should be realized.

He's wrong.

If it was up to me, he would be on 'read only' status on this board, but then again, the mods here aren't a bunch of nazis like he is. I salute mygnr's management for having an open mind and always being an open forum.

JE

Hey, fat chicks need lovin' too. I'm not that guy, but somebody has to be. We need guys like Jarmo to take the hit for the team.

agreed. jarmo gets the fat chicks. man law?

man law.

Well he sure banned me from writing. For commenting on the concert thread. I had the chance to post two times in that thread, Jarmo commented like 10 times and then decided to delete the whole thread. And ridicule his own members. Good job Jarmo.

Madison said dissing other forums is a no, no. Ahh well she won't ban you or delete this thread so I guess it's ok.

Also i think it would be in his best interests to sycik to the old set until he starts to get the ball rolling in the US. He needs the old ones to gain the crouds approval, new tunes would win us over, but not the general US audience who are still pissed the guy with the top hat isn;t there anymore.

I still don't understand why people who don't like the new band come here. I mean if it's just for Axl at least have the decency to not be a jerk to all of those who DO like the new band and treat our opinions with respect.
