I love video game music.

Some of the best music is in the Sonic games.

Nobuo Uematsu is the best video game composer ever.

He's done the music for the Final Fantasy-series (bar XII, and we all know how horrible music it had), Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, the main theme for Super Smash Bros Brawl...

rock4

There's only 1 composer that I do like better than Uematsu. And it's Motoi Sakuraba, the guy who does the Tales music, and he did some of his best work in the game "Baten Kaitos"

I don't know much video game music that has some heavy guitar solos in it.

This is hands down my favorite video game theme ever.

People will perhaps understand why I'm so high on the tales series and baten kaitos after hearing this.

He's second for me. The Tales games have absolutely amazing music.

Can't wait for Tales Of Vesperia, it's sadly not out in Europe until 2009.

I'm personally really looking forward to Arc Rise Fantasia. It's basically being made by all the people who left team tales (which is nearly everyone.) and you have Yasunori Misuda (the guy who made the Chrono Trigger music) working on it.

Koji Kondo anyone? How can you discuss video game music and not mention Koji Kondo!? He's the greatest of them all, possibly along with Nobuo.

Another personal favourite of mine is Grant Kirkhope. He works at Rare and has composed the music to Banjo-Kazooie for example. The two guys who composed the music to Super Metroid are seriously gifted as well.

little big planet should be great.

i'm just playing trauma centre 2 now and its a bit dissapointing. the dialouge gets annoying every now and again and then when they made it "magical" with the "healing touch" it made me sigh. in saying that the surgery is fun enough and challenging on Hard

According to ComputerAndVideoGames.com, Ted Nugent has lent his voice and likeness to Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Nugent joins Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne and Sting in World Tour's celebrity cast of boss duel characters.

World Tour players can challenge "The Nuge" to an "epic guitar duel", says Activision, and jam alongside his in-game likeness as he performs his 1975 hit "Stranglehold".

When the house lights go down this fall, a new generation of guitarists, drummers and fearless frontmen will come together and rock with Guitar Hero: World Tour. The latest installment in the #1 best-selling video game franchise of 2007, Guitar Hero: World Tour transforms music gaming by expanding Guitar Hero's signature guitar gameplay into a cooperative band experience that combines the most advanced wireless controllers with new revolutionary online and offline gameplay modes including Band Career and 8-player "Battle of the Bands," which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online for the first time ever. The game features a slick newly redesigned guitar controller, drum kit controller and a microphone, as well as an innovative Music Studio music creator that lets players compose, record, edit and share their own rock 'n' roll anthems. Music creators will also be able to share their recordings with their friends online through GHTunesSM where other gamers can download and play an endless supply of unique creations.

Guitar Hero: World Tour is scheduled for a winter release.

What :monkey:

Maybe they mean the band as a whole. That'd be sweet. Vocal dual against Ozzy. Guitar dual against Zakk or Randy (since they'll probably choose a song from one of those eras). And a dual with the rest of the band.

Ozzy Osbourne to Headline Virtual OZZFest Lineup in Guitar Hero World Tour

OZZFest artists Metallica, System of a Down and Black Label Society are coming to Guitar Hero World Tour.

August 8, 2008 - After performing in countless sold-out arenas and amphitheatres throughout the world, rock's defining frontman Ozzy Osbourne – who has sold over 100 million records worldwide in his four decade career – will be playing to a new audience this fall as he makes his videogame debut in Activision Publishing, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero World Tour.

Budding rockstars around the world will have the opportunity to live out their ultimate fantasy on the virtual OZZFest stage, playing as Ozzy, or alongside him, as he wails to iconic rock track "Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley," both from his quintuple platinum debut solo album Blizzard of Ozz. OZZFest, now it its 13th year, has also been created digitally as an in-game venue exclusively for Guitar Hero World Tour to host the heavy metal rock legend.

Joining Ozzy in Guitar Hero World Tour as a playable character is his lead axe-shredder and founder of Black Label Society, Zakk Wylde, performing their hit track "Stillborn."

In addition to Metallica releasing their highly anticipated Death Magnetic album in its entirety as downloadable content in both Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero World Tour, the 2008 OZZFest performers and GRAMMY winning recording artists will be appearing for their on-disc encore with "Trapped Under Ice." Finally, taking the Guitar Hero stage for the first time is fellow OZZFest artist, System of a Down with their 2006 GRAMMY for Best Hard Rock Performance winning single "B.Y.O.B."

Guitar Hero's set list is way better than Rock Band's.

You're jokin' man, GH4's tracklist ain't got shit.

Nope, not joking. And that Guitar Hero track list that was listed awhile back wasn't even official, if you're referring to that.

It'd be better than Rock Band's if it was anyway. And besides, Guitar Hero just came out with a Death Magnetic download. ^_^

In my opinion, Rock Band won't be able to compete with GH4 when it comes out though. Especially since, like I said, Rock Band's instruments are shit and the icons on the screen are as well.

That's the first I saw that, and I still like it better. The Ozzy songs and Guitar Duels definitely sell it for me. I wonder what other characters will be in the game besides Ozzy and the guitar boss'.
