  1. NITL live videos on youtube

  2. Slow Motion Breakdown demo

Shit man, you sound like Axl and like... the song's genuinely really good!
  3. The craziest thing I've ever seen are music charts. I recorded a song down in Nashville recently with a few song writers and they ended putting it all in a "chart." They then handed it to the session musicians who'd never heard even the work draft of the song before. 5 minutes later, the song was recorded lol.
  4. My prediction is that it will probably sound reminiscent of the "good time" moments (like Bad Obsession, Bad Apples, Breakdown) on Illusions and Spaghetti (Human Being, Raw Power [yes, I know, covers, but])
  5. UYI: The lost (?) Bob Clearmountain mixes

I'm in the state of shock as you, right now lol. I hope it's legitimately because he's now... uh... hard to believe I'm saying this but... passionate about selling cars (going from hollywood a&r guy in it's most decadent period, imo).
  6. Help with Dave Mustaine GNR quote

I find that especially sad, too, because I bet you he doesn't actually think or dwell on Metallica anywhere near as much as the media makes it sound. Semi-related: I have a friend in Hollywood who does editing for a few different reality shows. I'll never forget the feeling of just about pure terror when he showed me a few clips from very well-known shows and goes, "So, what you're seeing? Yeah, none of this ever actually happened...." I'm like, "huh?" He's like, "All we did was string this together to make you think it happened but it never actually did..." So that's TV; imagine how much more easily mere print or audio can be "re-arranged?" Irrelevant post-script to that story: that friend is a freelancer and also said, "whenever I get pitched something and it's simply too slimy that I morally object to, I turn down the work..." Poor Dave Megadeth rules <3
  7. I think even this, right now... and Hell, even that Alkaline Trio talking about their plans to release new music because of the crisis is a little in poor taste and quite frankly, a little classless. Like, it seems a along the lines of virtue signaling. Kind of like a, "aww, they're trying to do something positive in the face of global anxiety" but the truth is that, what the Hell is new music going to do to help anyone's health this month? We already have an entire human evolution's worth of music and if there's ever been a time to re-listen or re-watch stuff that you KNOW is a guaranteed pleasurable experience- something you can be certain of (during an uncertain time) that you'll like, it's now. I really, firmly believe that people's emotions are too bound by fear to genuinely enjoy even the announcement of new art. Give it a month, I say, before releasing new music, etc. By then, I think lots of people will have pulled themselves together (assuming the virus is under control). Now though, I think that unless you're out mowing lawns for senior citizens or leaving groceries on their doorstep, anything else is just "hey look at me!! [ps: please remember to hit the like button, lol]"
  8. That hilarious bastard also said he had the “Garden City Tapes” a handful of years ago, too lol. My guess, though, is that the album will be released from a tour bus that just pulled up outside Coyote’s (please God, don’t let me be the only one here who remembers that.... [I’m going back nearly 15 years ago on the forum haha])
  9. you guys think even the summer North American tour will be postponed? I mean, i gotta believe by the summer, the mania will have subsided pretty significantly, no?
  10. Not sure which thread this is most appropriate for but seeing as how we've got a global pandemic on our hands, I thought it'd be important for it to receive top billing if only til mods replace it elsewhere. Taken straight from the official list of recommended cleaning products from the Center for Disease Control, courtesy of the Las Vegas Review Journal (last one down on the list):
  11. Your opinion of GN'R in 2020 (Poll)

Unpopular opinion, apparently (all due respect to everyone, though): I voted "still great!" Can't help it. Sure, I'd like new music from every band I like but I'm still thrilled with everything in its current state.
  12. Animating AXL ROSE Rock the Rock

I KNEW those were pet collars from what I had a feeling were his beloved pets that have passed on. Just had a feeling. Feeling confirmed, lol. RIP animal friends <3
  13. This might seem unrelated, but I assure it's not: does anyone know if any of the distribution services that allow independent artists to release music, such as CDBaby and DistroKid, etc. are the only way to upload to streaming services?; or do record labels such as Universal, etc. have their own like, license or something with Apple Music, Spotify, etc. (lotta etcs, lol) that allows uploading to said services? edit: granted, I'm not implying GN'R ought to just upload the music themselves, seeing as how that would probably be some sort of contractual breach or something but I'm still curious. edit #2: actually, I just remembered that Universal does have their own CDBaby sorta thing which, actually may only be for unsigned artists (I forget what they call theirs). It's funny because they say that if you use their service as an unsigned artist, you are like, automatically noticed by Universal for potential scouting. Ok, lol... (I have experience with it, too. I would not recommend it to even an enemy. Their customer service is absolutely atrocious)
  14. Which FOX? An affiliate or the one with like, Tucker and Hannity and stuff?
  15. Aaaaghh I remember when MTV used to do block rock or rock block (whatever it was called, lol) and they'd do Guns. I'd always get so pissed when they played NR because that'd mean they'd only show 2 GN'R videos instead of 3 haha.
  16. Semi-related/same context: two of the greatest mysteries to me, to this day are 1) who was the guy on HTGTH who quoted the Sorry lyrics and how did he know and 2) I can't recall who it was but before Eric announced that Dexter was Axl, how did the poster who first conversed with Axl, know it was actually him? Bonus: besides mods, I wonder if I was the first person to correspond with Axl through PM on here lol (I was pissed at the overall sentiment of posters for a few months before Dexter appeared, so I had another account on here and- yes, even before Eric announced that Dexter was Axl, I PM'd him and asked, "Are you indeed thee Axl Rose?" and he said, "Yes and thanks for your support!" Fucking monumental moment in my life lol, not even kidding. Only thing that could top that would be to meet the man, someday (wishing on a star lol)
  17. What would be the thing that would excite you the most in reading about the album before its release?; as in like, one of the band members' descriptions. Mine would be- assuming the quote would come from Duff- "it's basically Use Your Illusion III."
  18. shit, lol, that's what I love about this song; that it completely takes me back to that time period. it's the same reason why i love synthwave music. the only difference is that Atlas was likely recorded during that time period (early 2000s) whereas most synthwave has only been made within the last 6/7 years, largely (if you're unfamiliar with what synthwave is, it's just retro/throwback mainly keyboard-based music that sounds identical to 80s music. "retrogenesis" by perturbator, look it up. a fine example)
  19. MYGNRFORUM YouTube Policy

Lol all due respect but I think that, if most people meet A, S or D (omg I just had an unrelated thought: imagne if Duff's name started with an F, instead? If instead of Duff he was like... "Fuff" or something... than the trio would be known as the almighty A...F...D! lol)- but yeah, I think if most people meet one of the three of them for the first time, they'd probably want to talk about other things besides this situation lol. edit: whoops, I fucked that up. Not Duff being Fuff... It would have to be Slash. Flash... Axl, Flash and Duff. AFD haha.
  20. First ever GnR song that you heard?

YCMB. Video. Early summer 91. I had heard GN'R songs before, I'm sure, but YCMB was really the first one I "noticed." I was 9 years old and... fuck... T2 was going to be amazing as a movie and then GN'R who, my older siblings that I looked up to also apparently approved of, summer vacation from school was right around the corner. Young, carefree, holy fuck was that an amazing time in life.
  21. GNRs Slash & Duff On New Ozzy Album

shit... I like this. "Sonically," (what does that even mean, really, lol) it seems to "remain consistent" (my God, I feel like I sound like all the stuffy journalists that I think are such dorks haha) to how his last couple albums have sounded. What a great job everyone has done on this song. Bless 'Em All.
  22. 11/02/19 - Las Vegas, NV - The Colosseum at Caesars Palace

Bad Obsession, too, no? I've always thought that song like, WAS Guns N' Roses... (or "is." or was for that time period, idk). It's really got everything GN'R has always seemed to be about: fun-sounding, upbeat tune, lots of instrumentation, very crude but honest (and funny) lyrics, etc. Melissa could provide a fraction of the female backing vocals like how it used to be performed live; she could probably emulate the horn section, Teddy or another friend of the band who plays harmonica may not be too difficult to get a hold of, you know.
  23. Copyright Strikes....

wat was that like, for ransom or something? as in like, to prevent sensitive things from being leaked out?
  24. 10/25/19 - New Orleans, LA - Voodoo Music Experience

    any idea why?
  25. 10/25/19 - New Orleans, LA - Voodoo Music Experience

Holy shit! They nailed the living piss outta that! Kinda like the faster tempo, too. Has always been my all-time favorite Guns song ever, ever, ever.
