  1. TB does what Axl says. It was most likely Axl who stymied any attempts by the band to show any level of enthusiasm for the “new” music outside of the parameters Axl instituted.
  2. Bands should not get involved in politics. It’s about connecting people through music, the commonality of music should cross any divides. But it turns into pandering to whatever is the “now” topic. I think it’s best to let the music do the talking and let’s keep these threads about the music and the band.
  3. The bullshit never gets old. Just keep repeating it over and over and surely enough people will believe it.
  4. Obviously I’m referring to the unreleased leaks plus the updated version of OMG. Certainly I’m aware of HS and Absurd. We’ve already concluded the fate of Going Down and likely SOG as well. Just because OMG was released on a soundtrack while many suggest Axl retroactively called it a “demo” doesn’t change the fact that there is another version floating around. And certainly nothing has stopped GNR from releasing more than one version of the same song on multiple albums in the past.
  5. Well technically those songs were never released in any capacity, OMG was obviously on the End Of Days soundtrack as a demo. But the leaks don’t discredit those tracks as new simply because we chose to “illegally” listen to them in their early stages.
  6. Yeah Going Down unfortunately isn’t happening under the GNR name and SOG was parted out.
  7. Maybe that’s the plan. Which doesn’t mean much in the GNR world. I think Axl should just unload an EP right now: OMG (studio version) Atlas Perhaps Going Down
  8. It’s still classic Axl. And he sounds really good in the lower and middle registers.
  9. I might be in Jersey in August. I’ll wait until they start dumping tickets to buy as I’m not too keen on sitting very close to the stage anyway. Not sure changing up an already stale setlist will help to move more tickets for the wretched masses.
  10. Expecting new music from GNR is a fatal flaw.
  11. I think it’s pretty apparent that everyone in the band barring W.A.R wants to release and make music. But there’s no democracy in GNR. The bands decisions and direction follow the whims of its leader. His decision is the only say, the final say in all matters GNR related.
  12. Dissidence is heavily frowned upon by TB. Parties involved will be eliminated. Negativity is considered moral decadence and will not be tolerated.
  13. I have seen Metallica live far more than GNR. Night and day difference. Metallica shows are actually enjoyable even when James’ voice strains. Granted, Axl’s songs are infinitely harder to sing. But the general atmosphere and interaction and energy during Metallica shows are second to none. Much better merchandise as well.
  14. Basically the entire Kill ‘Em” All album is a delight to listen to when driving. Actually they have a solid collection of songs that always sound good live. I have seen Metallica countless times over the years. Far better show than GNR has been in ions.
  15. Unforgiven 2 and 3 are arguably better than the original. Bleeding Me is a cool song, Last Caress, Orion….
  16. Jarmo would never give up his seat in the inner circle to otherwise be cast into the outer darkness. We all know Jarmo will never risk being shunned by Axl and management.
  17. Covid delayed absolutely nothing in regards to new music being released. Had it not been Covid, it would have been some other calamity that was the hypothetical delay. We would be in the exact position we are now.
  18. We’ll see a couple tracks eventually but I wouldn’t say “soon” is the word….
  19. Yes I know you were, I’m just trying to keep the thread going 🥲 clearly there won’t be any music released prior to the first show as it hasn’t happened previously, so I’m not expecting it now. Axl does everything ass backwards and without any logic or rationale. It’s a real shame too because it’s the perfect time to release something, anything. I think the genre is hungry for it. I think new music might spark some interest, but we all know it would be a lowest case denominator release with little to no acknowledgment from Axl.
  20. Based on nothing? There’s no bases for us to expect new music? It wasn’t Axl who stated more than a few times that we would be getting follow up albums? That there is a considerable amount of music in the pipeline? That we wouldn’t be waiting as long as we did for CD? It wasn’t Slash who suggested more tunes are coming after the release of Hardskool and the abominable Absurd? Of course we are expecting new music, because we have been told there’s plenty of it and it’s coming. We already know it will come with little warning, no promotion and no continuity. So yes, we are expecting new music to come and when it doesn’t we will be upset and rightfully so.
