Aerosmith has cleared some of their vault out over the last few years:

”Devil’s Got a New Disguise” (Get a Grip outtake) and “Sedona Sunrise” (Pump outtake) on the “Devil’s Got a New Disguise” best of.

“Lizard Love” (Get a Grip outtake) on the “Rugrats Go Wild” soundtrack

and a lot of the songs on “Music From Another Dimension” were reworked outtakes from as far back as the Pump era.

That said, there’s still a TON of stuff from Permanent Vacation” going forward that’s never been heard by anyone, and aside from very short clips on YouTube, have never been heard by anyone outside of the band’s inner circle.

Speaking of Aerosmith, they need a new live album/greatest hits album.

There is just no way new music would work with the current lineup.

Would Slash just roll over and be happy to let Axl call all the shots musically? Cuz there's no way Axl would be like Myles and record an entire album consisting of whatever riffs Slash comes up with, just adding some lyrics/melody lines on top.

Axl co-produced the entire Chinese Democracy album and he even edited and sliced up guitar solos to satisfy some kind of Frankenstein-esque vision he had for the songs. This is worlds away from how Slash operates and how the original band came up with songs.

I really don't see Axl going back to a more traditional band-jamming approach, which is why I don't think it's likely we'll ever see a full Guns album from Axl/Slash ever again.

So any other reason you gave was a fake reason? :(

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/03/millennials-think-socialism-would-create-great-safe-space-study-finds.html

Nearly half of all U.S. millennials believe the greatest safe space of them all would be living under a socialist regime.

That’s according to a new study from research firm YouGov and Washington, D.C.-based Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, which surveyed over 2,000 people regarding their views on socialism and the communist political system. The biggest takeaway from the study was that one out of every two millennials surveyed said they would rather live in a socialist or communist country over a capitalist democracy like the U.S.

“Millennials now make up the largest generation in America, and we're seeing some deeply worrisome trends," Marion Smith, executive director of the foundation said in a statement to Fox News. "Millennials are increasingly turning away from capitalism and toward socialism and even communism as a viable alternative.”

Nearly 45 percent of millennials polled said that they would prefer to live in a socialist country compared to the 42 percent who said they preferred a capitalist one. Another 7 percent said that the preferred living in a communist country above all. The findings show that the percentage of millennials who prefer socialism over capitalism if a full 10 points higher than that of the general population.

By comparison, over half of baby boomers polled favor capitalism, compared to 26 percent who support a socialist system.

The report also found that one in five Americans in their 20s consider former Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin a hero, despite his genocide of Ukrainians and Orthodox priests. Over a quarter of millennials polled also thought the same for Vladimir Lenin and Kim Jong Un.

One of the most troubling findings of the report is that over 40 percent of Americans believe that there should be restrictions placed on the First Amendment and free speech to ensure that anything being said is not “offensive.”

The survey also uncovered that a basic working knowledge of communism among all Americans is lacking.

Seven out of 10 Americans do not know the definition of communism as it is most often confused with socialism. The same amount also underestimates the number of people who have been killed by communist regimes.

"This troubling turn highlights widespread historical illiteracy in American society regarding socialism and the systemic failure of our education system to teach students about the genocide, destruction, and misery caused by communism since the Bolshevik Revolution one hundred years ago,” Smith said.

I think there were many angles and factors effecting perception of Guns and Axl at the time.  This is one, maybe?

Do people remember the "Grunge Speak" fiasco?  Culture was shifting.  Kill Rock Stars record label was pushing some significant units - need one say more?  There was a zine culture, as part of the hard rock landscape, that the major rock rags actually had to yield to, which discussed anti-capitalist and pro feminists ideas. Ideas that culture was being bought, sold and coming back as a replica instead of the authentic item was a major issue during early (anti) Globalization.  Culture Jamming and other tactics pushed back against this.  The reason anti-globalization protesters popularly targeted Star Bucks was because many coffee shops had until that point been independent, with their own character; and a place where poetry-readings, small scale local music, and lively political debate took place.  This underground movement and corporatism were finding themselves sharing space in the hard rock mainstream and it didnt work.  The major publications stumbled hard to try and absorb these disrupters into their profit machinery.  The "Grunge Speak" fiasco was where the NY Times called the Sub Pop office to ask what the cool kids were saying and the person who answered just lied to NYT and made up funny BS.  Which was then printed in the NYT!  And then based on what was written; fashion, print, music and other industries just pounced and actually production-lined that culture into existence.  This was culture jamming at its best at the beginning and also it back fired greatly.

Even though the mini black block princesses in my world may not have been able to fully unpack and articulate how Guns was a corporate projection of Reaganomics.  Or a platform for misogyny.  They definitely knew that the music sounded like those things and that The Slits didnt.

So, this is just one tiny piece of the landscape I remember from 93-99ish.  I think that must have made it not only confusing, but less stable to make plans for Guns too, especially since young women and girls had Kathleen Hannah in one ear and Axl in the other.  Would this disrupter culture buy a ticket or storm the gates with scissors?

This wiki has plenty of links to the NY Time and other articles about it.

Just wondering if any musos out there can help me out: You're Crazy, 2:55 mark, are Izzy and Slash playing the same thing?  It's a wall of sound, I can't make out who's playing which part. lol  Or is it just that they're playing super fast?  What do you call that cool 'sliding' sound Slash is making (I presume it's Slash)?

Man I hate that 60fps crap

hey, joke aside, and bad taste aside (how can someone devote so much effort and time to make a video of this nonsense parody of a band), congrats to whoever did this. wow, some talented people in the community, huh?

i hope that whoever did this can find some time to do a Guns n Roses video someday. No joke
