I'm an avid podcast listener and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good lengthy Axl interviews.
This one from 2006 with Eddie Trunk is great:
I like it for the most part but damn Sebastian Bach is REALLY trying hard to look cool in this one.

Yeah, hearing great things too. Lady Gaga was on Stephen Cobert the other night and he raved about it.
He's just doing his job

They HOPE to get vocals on it

I think that they'll do interviews where they say "We hope to enter the studio" and then nothing will happen. You know, something different.

“Before I can speak to Slash I have to sign a contract that says that if anything goes wrong – if some kind of shit hits the fan because of what I write – and GN’R lose money, then Classic Rock carries the can. This is no small thing when you’re dealing with the fourth biggest earning tour of all time”

Nice short 2 "barely a paragraph" each clickbait article.

Yeah Pawnshop Guitars is a good album.
Slash was also on Cure Me or Kill Me, which is one of my favorite side-GNR songs. I like the mid-90's gravelly guitar sound.
It's pretty good. Some duds in there like Johanna''s Chopper. Gilby sure is a terrible lyricist though. Yeesh.

Awesome. Love every song.

Slash is apparently losing "Patience" with his wife over how long the divorce settlement is taking.
That was cheesy.
If you generate a lot of money, you deserve a big cut.

I can't believe I didn't notice this before but for the 2 disk set, "You're Crazy" from Lies is missing. It's strange that it would be considering the back of the sleeve says "B-Sides, Ep's, and more"
I'm sure this has been noticed by now by everyone else but was there any reason given? Or is it just sloppy work on the part of the label?

That looks awesome! I'm very excited!
I hope (and feel) this might actually do justice to the traditional Godzilla stuff. You know, the kind that doesn't feature Puff Daddy rapping over Kashmir.
The instrumental version of that track was pretty cool I thought.

Godzilla'd better win this time...
He didn't lose the last time. It was designed to be an ambiguous ending.

yes this is what struck me when I was making the chart.
but it indeed seems it was recorded in 3 separate sessions and quite a distant time apart.
the information is really confusing and sometimes contradicting.
if you check the original Lies booklet, you'll find that there were 3 recording studios, without any precise information about which dates, which songs, just 3 studios with their names.
for a long time, it was thought that Lies have been completely recorded sometimes in 1988 in Rumbo studios, but it seems nobody managed to read the booklet properly.
now the new liner notes surprised us, saying Patience and alternate take of Crazy (released at WTTJ single) were recorded way back in Take One, then UTLH + Crazy + the "new" MTTC were recorded in Image Studios.
the missing song from AFD SDE is One In A Million, so by my simple logic that one was recorded in Rumbo Studios.
then there are 3 unreleased songs - alternate takes of OIAM, UTLH and Cornshucker - while the latter two seem to be connected so they must have been recorded in the same session.
if OIAM alternate was recorded together with UTLH+Cornshucker is unknown, highly possible but not confirmed.
now, to make things more complicated, there's an account by one bootlegger - which might be inaccurate and sourced from other assumptions, but still here it is:
the Crazy recording from this list is the alternate take from WTTJ single, or more precisely of the latter WTTJ single version, released in October 1988.
and if the new liner notes are to be trusted, then Patience and Crazy alt. take is not from the Rumbo sessions.
weird and confusing shit...
Are those songs that the bootlegger described available anywhere? I'm curious to hear them
-
Maybe my understanding is off but from what I remember, but wasn't Lies recorded in a day? You're Crazy, Used to Love Her, Patience, One in a Million. I remember reading interviews where this was stated. In the liner notes, different days are listed.

The average human being just doesn’t care. It’s internet indignation and that only last until the next indignation.
Nah, they care. Shit like this was going on long before the fake outrage culture

I find it pointless that musicians care that their songs are played at political events. It affects absolutely nothing.
It affects their image. If you were a musician and your music was being played at a Nazi rally, and then people thought you were a Nazi, would you still feel like it affected nothing?

Ok cool. It's a better option than "mastered for iTunes" in the iTunes store

Since the show was recorded and we have soundboard of it i wonder why it is not included in the Super Deluxe Edition and not even in the Locked N' Loaded box. Imo that would have been a great selling point since the show was awesome and a remastered verison would have been more than welcomed by anyone. What makes me whonder even more is the inclussion of ISE, KOHD and WLR in the 2nd disc of the Super Deluxe Edition, i know that they were a part of Live like a Suicide but still, having a CD with the entire show remastered i don't think would have been that big of a problem.
Also to add, KOHD would have been nice to be cut before Axl makes that statement "I gotta picture this......they call us sweet ACDC", that part made more sense in the begging of WLR
Because i am blind i didnt notice the sub-section for AFD, can a mod or admin please move my thread, and I am sorry
"Sweet AC/DC". I think he says "the new AC/DC"

I'd love to hear those but the big box plus all the equipment is really out of my price range :/

Apparently people feel entitled to get things before their official release date if they have subscribed to some music platform, and thus the entire subscription is worthless.
Can I have some toast with that jelly?
