I may be stepping on thin ice here, but I believe that in such situation, now that you've actually paid for it, I wouldn't see anything wrong about downloading (i.e. pirating) the two tracks so that you can listen to it in your devices. I mean, you've legally paid the price, so...
you think it's pirating if you were to rip songs off a cd you bought onto your own phone/player?

Maybe its fanmade too.
I'm thinking that it is. Axl doesn't look like himself in the side profile shot. Plus, it looks too glossy and modern.

I ran that through Google maps and it's all blurred out

Unrelated but it looks like the Super Deluxe Edition of AFD sold out. What's on Amazon is now at varying prices from $62 on up to $196. I got mine last year on Amazon for approx $60. Even though I have it, I'm still tempted for the big box. For those who have it, would you say it's worth it?

I remember really bad quality audio coming from I think the first show about 9 hours later. It was pretty cool to hear Axl's voice again!

Anyone else find it cheesy as all fuck for Axl to write a tribute like a teenage girl who just got her first flip phone in 2004?
that's a rather specific analogy

All I can say is: I have absolutely no idea. I first started poking around GN'R forums in the year 2002 and the fake insider bit has been a mainstay even since I can remember.
It wouldn't be a problem if GN'R was anywhere near as productive as they could be, but it is what it is. For whatever reason, a lot of people seem to link their self worth to being perceived as an insider in the GN'R world.
Back in the mid 90's there was a GNR mailing list that I subscribed to. Some user said his dad was an engineer (or owner, i don't fully remember) at a recording studio in LA and GNR was recording there and the album was going to be called "Sugar Fix". like 99% of the mailing list believed this person and they ate up everything he said.
I see it now with fan YouTube pages for various comic IP's etc. All trying to be the insider and using whatever tiny audience they have to try to look like they know something for clicks. The need for that type of attention will never change.

I find it weird that the latest Axl vocals are from a Bugs Bunny cartoon

Ah ok, thanks.
I was under the impression that some were leaked about the time someone was trying to sell it for a huge amount of money?
Edit: I'm talking about the Robert Johns footage. Was that not from Perfect Crime?
Is the video viewable?

I actually don't mind the album, but I was speaking generally. There are a few good covers on it and a few howlers too! But overall I don't mind it, but rarely listen to it.
To put it a different way... I'm yet to meet anybody who cites the album as their favourite GNR album.
Yeah it's not one I see out but something I flip on once in a while. I sure do love Axl's performance on Human Being

I'm just saying anybody who hears a new GnR single has probably heard WTTJ, SCOM, PC, NR, Patience, YCBM, L&LD, KOHD already.
Do you know how hard it would be to for someone to hear a new GnR single and not be aware of at least some of their back catalog? Most people who hear hard skool or whatever probably have already made up their mind on GnR, of course that isn't every case but the vast majority I would say it is.
That doesn't mean there is no reason for them to make new music, or release singles or anything like that. I just don't think it's as important for a band like GnR. They already have more music played on the radio every day than 99.9% of any rock band that has ever existed.
Doesn't seem like it'd be any harder than a new band being discovered. It's not only the older crowd going to GNR shows.

Hard Skool isn't going to attract a new fan. That person you guys think is going to be attracted by a new single would have already been attracted by WTTJ or SCOM 30 minutes earlier when they heard them on the radio.
What are you basing that on?

Well, on the bright side, it's better than NOTHING to tide us over

Hard Skool was in fact Jackie Chan. It seems there is more to come at some point

I remember YEARS ago, like in 1996/1997 GNR was rumored to have a song for the Jackie Chan film "Mr. Nice Guy". Weird that it's Hard Skool.

It will lead to more Chinese era songs with sprinklings of Duff and Slash every now and again. I'm sorry. I'm just a little pissed about the whole damn thing.
I understand. You want more organic, written by the present band than sort of "touched" up old leaks. Now, had you not heard those leaks, how would you feel about the songs?
-
I am curious as to where these song releases will lead. They've been once a month now correct?
