nobody needs to hear SCOM again... we get it... hair eyes... blue sky... wrap it up

I'm sorry, but that's bs and you know it. GNR doesn't have that many signature songs (or that many songs so the signature songs can't be played), but SCOM is a must at every concert. Even if we're sick and tired of it.

At the very least, pay on a credit card so if it falls through, you can claim the money back via your bank (at least in the UK, that protection exists, unsure on other countries)

    It doesn't.

I'd rather be a talentless famous millionaire cunt than some talentless no name cunt hating on the internet, though.

Geez. How about trying to not be a cunt? ;) And if one has to deal with a cunt, then it's better to deal with the talentless and no name cunt than with the millionaire cunt, who are all cunts by default.

Prequels are also uniformly awful. I actually enjoyed Phantom Menace and The Force Awakens in the cinema. There was enough there to interest me in the rest of each trilogy but the next two films in both case were utter shite so making eps 1 and 7 meaningless.

But in no way, shape or form as bad and redundant as the sequels. 7 was alright, but seeing what direction they took after that, it got sunken too. It would have been a good starting point for something great, alas it wasn't, so it's a disappointment too.

Star Wars of old is still there and still great. I can watch the three proper movies all day every day and just ignore everything else. With hindsight Solo is the only half decent non original trilogy movie and the rest were all utter shit. Shame really but I can still enjoy the originals.

I mean, Star Wars the way it used to be run. Just because there were no Extended Editions (even though there were Special Editions), don't mean there can't be one now. And well, as far as movies, it ends at 6. EU is still canon to me. Sequels are bad fan fiction. Nothing more.

Doubt it. Star Wars doesn’t do that stuff. It’s always been way more conservative, when it comes to things like that.

Besides, the red one Justice League is being done as a four-episode miniseries (one hour per episode), not a movie.

But the Star Wars of old is gone. They ruined Star Wars. So anything to make a buck and win something back.

Im just goofing around with ya, but yeah, where I live a "dork" is by definition not cool. Sorry you are missing that RATM show!

I'll stick with comrade Morello. But if he also wore a big old, studded, gay guitar strap like father Zakk it would be even cooler!  j/k

Don't worry, got ya. Yeah. I stick with both. ;) Luckily there is room for both. But Zakk would be my protoype of a guitar rock god hero. Visually.

Oi! He's the coolest dork we'll ever see! I mean he's not an alcoholic who calls everyone he knows some version of Catholic title, while asserting that they are part of his pretend motorcycle club, Like Wylde. :P But, despite this, Morello is still kinda cool!

Never said he's not cool. Just a different kind of cool. And I was actually supposed to see him in a little over 2 weeks. ;) But if I have to chose to watch him or father Zakk, purely based on optics, I'd rather watch father Zakk.

Yes, but it looks cool though. Zakk Wylde would agree,

Low slung Les Paul between legs akimbo: über dinosaurian rock godliness.

Exactly. Morello, while a great guitarist, looks like a dork.

The only Stones record I own. My mom gave it to me for my 16th birthday! There's a bit too much filler on it, but it has some cool songs too... Saint Of Me, Too Tight, Gunface, Flip the Switch and a few others.

Yeah. When I ripped it on my computer years ago, I deleted almost a third of the songs. Yesterday was the first time in almost 20 years I listened to the full album and even liked the "filler" songs. The ones I kept always were great.

I don't disagree with you. Just trying to surmise reasons as to why it might be excluded. I'm pretty sure there are (or were) rules around greatest hits. If it were a Best Of as opposed to a Greatest Hits I'm sure it would be included. In general (not just Guns) I never buy Greatest Hits as I typically prefer album tracks / non-singles anyway - they give a much better overview about the band in question. Locomotive, Breakdown, Coma, Rocket Queen etc in this case.

Yeah. Greatest Hits albums usually are boring with overplayed songs. The meat of an artist is missing, so to say. Especially, when it's just a single disc.

Not everyone listens to new artists/music the same way. Got into them back in 2016 and listened to Appetite alone for the first three months I'd say and then ventured out from there. Didn't listen to CD for 1/2 years after I'd already considered GNR my favorite artist.

Doing the same thing with Marilyn Manson atm actually, really got into them and been listening since March but still haven't listen to at least 4/5 of the albums(although a bit different situation when he actually consistently releases music, and I've read that those albums aren't great).

Doesn't make much sense, especially in this day and age, when you don't even have to leave the house (or pay) to listen to "new" music, but it's a reality, I guess.

I don't think Estranged charted though in UK or US, so isn't a "hit" in the context of a greatest hits album. And I imagine the length also dissuaded it's inclusion even if it did qualify.

Who cares if it didn't chart in the UK/US? It had a video and it was competing for the top spot on Dial MTV for weeks/months. So yes, it was a hit. But you might have a point with the length of the song. It has the length of 2 regular songs.

Yep its true...hey no need to get cross with me...I am taking my time amongst the other other stuff I do in my life.

To Russ...no I am not a Troll we obviously just disagree on some things, thats all.

Huh. You are a "new" fan, but joined 8 months ago, with 360 Posts already, but have not managed to listen to 6 albums, which are all just a click away?

As for the question, yes, I bought the single, as it was the first "new" song in what seemed ages (and I don't think I new the Stones Version) at the time. It was alright, I guess. Didn't set my world on fire. And no, I wasn't aware the band was breaking up at the time.

Maybe! lol But he helped sell them, at least. Aint any of the others go platinum? TSI must have?

Alright. Spaghetti is Platinum. But only 1x. Not Multi-Platinum. And still his contribution was minimal. https://www.riaa.com/gold-platinum/?tab_active=default-award&ar=guns+n+roses&ti=&lab=&genre=&format=&date_option=release&from=&to=&award=P&type=&category=&adv=SEARCH#search_section

I love how as soon as Slash appears, the Gilby window disappears and we dont see Gilby again until the very last note

Great to see Matt, Gilby and Slash collab :headbang:

Also, Gilby is standing in front of a wall of album plaques. You can see UYI 1&2. He didnt play on those. But his performances helped sell them. So, fair enough I guess. He was likely given them.

That has to sting when the only gold and platinum plaques you can actually hang on your walls are the ones you haven't played on.

I will try this as well. Did you contact Live Nation, Eventim or Ticketmaster?

Live Nation Germany. Both Eventim and Ticketmaster will deflect to the promoter. Live Nation Germany instructed Ticketmaster to refund me the money. Just tell them, that you were going to Germany for that show, but now won't go there and don't have any use for a coupon by a german promoter.

How are people doing with refunds? I've heard nothing whatsoever, despite emails. Not quite sure what route to take now really.....

I got a refund for the Live Nation Germany produced and cancelled Aerosmith and System of a down shows, on the basis that I'm not german. So anyone who bought a ticket for a german show, but is not german, should try that. I also got a refund for the Dublin show,
