I think they're at a point where they could drop Civil War and Estranged. I know, I know, Estranged is their best song, blah blah blah. It sucks the energy out of a stadium show. If Axl sang it with the lower voice it might be better received, but for whatever reason, he doesn't want to do that. If they're gonna play a longer song that most of the crowd isn't into, I'd take Locomotive or TWAT over Estranged these days.

Rocket Queen and KOHD need to be shortened, I wouldn't mind if they dropped RQ or at least alternated it with YCBM.

Replace Slither with a TSI? song or Marseilles... hell they could replace it with Children Of The Revolution if that's released before they tour again. But the novelty's worn off and Axl sounds dreadful on the chorus.

I know some people here are stoked they're playing Reckless Life, but man Axl struggled on that one in Vancouver last year. It was one of the songs where he was dropping lines/notes, and it's a deeper cut that didn't get a big pop from the crowd, he doesn't need to strain himself by singing it at every show.

I'd like to hear them bring back The Garden and You Ain't The First. Black Leather would be cool, and could be alternated with Down On The Farm. Alternate between Raw Power, So Fine and maybe You Ain't The First as an Axl/Duff duet before Duff's solo spot.

Are they both rumoured to be on the same Michael Schenker song? He thought was working on 2 or 3 projects, and Axl and Slash were on different ones... been a while since I read anything about it though.

They've only been teasing this album and playing songs live for like 3 years, so it's not too bad. I posted their single Daydreaming on page 2 of this thread almost a year ago

They released an occasional single and Anderson .Paak has released tons of good music, I can't really complain if it took them this long to really get back together for an album and hopefully tour. The singles have all been great so far.

After almost 8 fucking years, NxWorries are finally releasing their second album. June 7th, can't wait.

No band is too big to open for the Stones. If they asked GNR to open a show or two, do you really think they'd decline? I'm not so sure...

Yes, GNR is a better band and was more 'hard rock' whereas Motley was more 'glam'. But they definitely share a large group of casual fans and the general public still lumps them into the same '80s sunset strip rock' category.

Their set at Bumbershoot 2012 was one of the best shows I've seen. I can see why people hated Gonzo, it's basically a 180 from what made them successful, but I love that record. It was great to see them gain a bunch of fans with S/T and Church, but they were openly displeased with some of the decisions that came with being on a bigger label, doing bigger tours, etc. If Gonzo had been followed by another Church type of record I think it would be a lot more appreciated, but I can't blame them for going the independent route.

Their newer albums don't have great production, but there's some gems on each album... Dreamscape, Love Like This, The Forbidden Kind...

Yea they've had some 'odd choices' open 1 or 2 shows (Skrillex, Deftones, etc) but would be cool if they did it for a full tour.

Their quasi-reunion is a little underwhelming, but at least they've released a few albums and are still a solid live band. 2012 was the first time I saw them, and they were incredible.

I haven't seen them, but I know people who have. If you like their music, their show is enjoyable. But 'pyro, big choruses and big hits' also applies to bands like Motley lol. Someone like Carrie is supposed to be a left-field choice, she's successful on her own and would bring a different audience, but there's also a connection.

I'd like to see them get 'weird' with the opening bands - Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Yelawolf, Foxy Shazam, Jelly Roll, Stop Light Observations, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, there's tons of cool artists they could bring on tour. I've seen 6 shows since 2016 and Alice In Chains opened 4 of them... I like AIC but give me some variety lol.

An example of a good pairing for stadiums would be GNR/Nickelback, complimentary but different style and has a slightly different fanbase and they don't play stadiums so it would be worthwhile for them. Billed as the the two most hated bands in rock. I don't even like Nickelback all that much but I'd be interested in that pairing 

I honestly think Carrie Underwood would be more likely as a 'co headliner' at this point. I can't see Nickelback being a good fit at all, or any of those pop-rock kind of bands. Maybe RHCP, since they're another 'old school LA band' and they barely play more than 90 minutes at their own shows anyway lol. I think RHCP would probably be the closest to a real 'co headline' show, because if we move onto bands like the Foo Fighters or Metallica, GNR would definitely be the opening band...

I'd like to see it just so that during GNR's set, before his solo, Axl could introduce Slash as 'our original guitar player' or something snarky like that.

I wouldn't bother seeing Motley for free these days... but it would be pretty cool if GNR took a page out of their book and did their own kind of 'Crue Fest' tour (similar to Slash's blues festival tour I guess). 3-4 younger opening bands, cut the set down to 2.5 hours of all-killer-no-filler, record and release one of the shows...

I really doubt it, he doesn't even come to Canada anymore, the closest he's coming to me is Seattle... doubt he'll tour outside the US again (maybe at this point insurance is more expensive than it's worth, with his health/heart issues? Idk.)

Brewer, likely on bass again. A singer named Madeline who apparently will only sing a few songs with him each night (I guess she's also the opening act?) And someone named Juno/Netlag who plays synths. Not sure about a drummer...

It's almost a year away, but Sum 41 are playing my city so I got tickets for them... was actually on a bit of a nostalgia kick a week ago and listened to their album Chuck, it's better than I remembered...

Killing Floor still gets better with each listen. I've heard it more times on the local rock station than all the NITL singles combined.

The song with Iggy was already intriguing, but after hearing that snippet I'm really looking forward to that track. This album is gonna be such a fuckin jam, hope we get another single in April...

There's been a nosedive in quality from WOF to LTD and 4... I'm sure Slash enjoys SMKC and of course the rest of the band enjoys it, but is he as passionate about it as he was 10-12 years ago? Probably not. I can see where these other users are coming from, the last couple albums were stale and they seem to exist just as an excuse for Slash to tour.

Killing Floor was such a breath of fresh air, even though it's an old song. It's way more fun than anything on 4. The last minute of Monsters is the most 'classic Slash' moment I've heard in a while. At this point it does seem like once he has 10-12 ideas, he assembles SMKC and they quickly do an album so they can hit the road.
