You know, there have always been inconsistencies in the guys' recollections about things, but that one about Slash 'being there' /not being there for Duff when he was hospitalised is quite a blatant slip up.  I think the guys' chop and change their stories, aka allegiances, depending on who they are pissed off with at any given time.

I thought I read in Duff's book that the only band member who came to see him in the hospital was Axl.  Is that true?  I loaned my copy to a friend and never saw it again.

  2. I hope they get their cash and go record interesting music, with or without GNR.  This has been a nice couple of years that we as fans can all look back on and be glad it happened.  I'm happy they're loading their bank accounts.  I think it's most impressive that they're probably clearing $650,000 - 800,000 per stadium show and about $275,000 per arena show for just T-shirts/merchandise.  In a couple nights of T-shirt sales alone, they're making more than Eddie Money makes in 3 years of touring casinos and beer tents at state fairs.  This tour is very, very profitable.

  3. I'm selling an extra in Pit 1 let me know if anyone needs it. I'll be at Morgan street Brewery before the show.  Should be there by 4:30

I heard Deftones at 6:25.  Who the fuck is Dr. Zhivegas?

They were and I think still are a cool local cover band that used to play around STL 20 years ago.  Not sure if he's still performing.  They used to own a club around town too.

I'll be at the meetup tomorrow and of course at the show on Thursday. Can't wait!

What has been decided for the pre-show?  I'm going to try to make it.

Have they released the schedule yet?  Is Dr. Zhivegas the first opener?  Will there be a local act before Deftones even?

I live downtown. Yes most of the bars are concentrated along Washington Ave to the west of the dome. It would be cheaper to park in the 1400 block and walk to and from the dome hitting up a few of cool places along the way and after the concert. Some solid options along Washington are….

Flamingo Bowl – Bowling alley with a great happy hour. Good Beer and food

Hair of the Dog - dive bar. Great beer list. No food

314 The City Bar – good beer selection and good hamburgers

Missouri Bar and Grille – Solid bar with good atmosphere. Good gyros.

    Flannerys – Irish. good food

Lucas park Grille – fancier, but good food and nice outside patio.

Or you could walk a few blocks (or park) over on Olive Street which contains the following between 10thand 12th street…

Jack Patrick’s – Dive bar with beer awesome hamburgers

Crack Fox – Halloween/metal bar with good beer selection and pizzas.

Bailey's Range – Good Burgers and extensive beer list.

Hope this helps. I am super pumped. Let’s flood downtown a blast GNR out of every juke box downtown before and after the concert.

Not sure if it's possible to flood downtown with GNR music.  Last time I was in that area, you could see nothing but cars that looked as if they had been used in the Nuthin' But a G Thang video, bumpin a lot of bass.  Downtown STL is gangstaaaa.  Oh, and I saw Nelly at the Ameristar Casino when I was in town for Metallica.

Hair of the Dog 7pm on Wednesday night. Haven't heard anything for preshow yet

I wonder if the local news stations are going to find that guy that Axl attacked all those years ago and interview him.  You know they're trying to find him.

Speaking of St. Louis, I will be there as well.  Is there a convenient bar that other attendees are planning to pre-party at?

We're trying to figure that out.  There's not much around the dome, I don't think.  We may go to the ballpark village or Paddy-O's late afternoon and then walk or take the metrolink over to the stadium.  Not sure how much time I'll have because we don't fly in until 3 and they moved the start time up to 6, I think.  It always takes so long to get into these shows.  Let me know if you come up with a plan and I'll try to get my group on board.

Well, that's bullshit. You didn't reveal anything that mind blowing if you think about it. But then again, Axl is a snowflake so shocker there...

I'll see a couple of those guys in St Louis next Thursday.  I cant wait for that one.

Nah, the difference is you've been forced as to what's going on in the band.

But you are forever a hero to mygnr...between January of 2017- April 2016 We knew nothing. But we had you Eddie.

Dead Serious. You helped us since GNR didn't think enough of us to tell us what's going on r even give a clue...

I appreciate it.  Had I kept my fucking mouth shut, I wouldn't be here listening on Sirius over my glorious Sonos speakers on my couch.  I would be at the fucking show as a guest of associates of the band.  I'm an idiot.

Eddie, you're a ultra successful singer, why does our man sing this way given what he did with Angus in-between sub-par GNR gigs?! I loooong for the hidden truth!

I have no idea but you're right.  I think a lot of it has to do with the way AC DC songs are written.  The other part is that at a GNR show, Axl's running around the stage.  when I saw him perform with ACDC in Fort Lauderdale, he just stood in one place and focused on his singing and killed it.
