Thanks guys! Lucky - I originally thought Downtown would be the place to party. We just booked a cool hotel in Midtown, after reading the reviews it seems like it's smack bang in the middle of bars and restaurants etc.

Now the two Aussie tourists have to complete our cliche checklist for Georgia whilst we're there; eat pecan pie and a LOT of southern BBQ. Plus drink whatever it is you drink there  - I'm hoping it's moonshine! Can't wait!

BBQ:  1) Bonelick BBQ (Get the ribs and big ole totties)    2) Fox Brothers  3) lots of #3's but Fat Matt's is popular.

Downtown Atlanta is shitty but if you're looking for a hilarious all black comedy club... go to the Uptown Comedy Corner on Marietta St.  They'll treat you good in there and whatever comedian is onstage doing his routine will call you out and you'll become part of the show.  I love it there.

  2. I view the current arrangement as a 10 minute waste of time and if they cant do it the way you are requesting, I would rather see a VR song or something good off the Illusions like Locomotive or Breakdown put in its place.  As far as The Seeker is concerned, it's the perfect spot for a cover song but I just wish it wasn't that one.  It kind of wrecks the encore.  With Nashville coming up, I'm hoping they choose to bring out Chris Stapleton to help them sing Patience during the encore.  Maybe they can give him the second verse or something.

I'm glad it was a great time. From what we were seeing it was sub-par compared to the last few shows. Including comments from @EddieMoney who was actually at the show comparing it to RIR.

Looks like today we are seeing a lot of fans that were there chiming in saying it was awesome and that's a great thing.

A lot of what I say is tongue and cheek. It just didn't sound as good as the ACDC videos I've been watching so I felt like getting on here while in the pee line to let you know of my disappointment at that point in time. Much of the show was great and I didn't think much about his voice being rough after a few beers.  I had planned on going to the Detroit concert but Mrs Money had our baby early so I had to cancel. We have family in Overland Park so we made this show work. I went to Mexico City and both Vegas shows and he sounded better at both of those to me. I do agree with you guys who say the band sounds much tighter than Vegas.

  4. Someone asked about Adler and Izzy - if I knew I would tell you.  It seems that izzy and Matt Sorum may have followed the rapper playbook and wrote a song that may be inflammatory toward their former bandmates.  I have no doubt that they are unhappy about how things went down. I don't know anybody who is close with Sorum but from reading his comments in the press, he seems hurt that he wasn't asked.  I've heard from a guy that I know that izzy was unhappy that he wasn't offered the opportunity to be involved on an equal level to Slash and Duff. I find it hard to believe that Izzy would have wanted to be fully invested and play all of the shows but I don't know izzy.  All I know is that he was offered something and he turned it down. The song is called FP Money. What's that mean? fucking Pussy Money?

if they're not doing coma maybe they'll throw in a different song? One of the  alt. songs: Think About You, Perfect Crime, Slither

Slither may be ready to go, meaning Frank and Richard have probably learned and rehearsed it, but there's a good chance that Axl hasn't taken time to learn or rehearse it with the band. He's been busy learning Touch Too Much and other ACDC classics. He can barely remember the lyrics to Civil War at times. I hope he learns it and they perform it here and there. It's a great song and would sound cool with Axl on it.

Atlantans! Two Australians with no fucking clue here wondering where we should stay whilst in Atlanta. Can anyone recommend hotels where we can walk to pubs and have fun during the week? I've tried looking online but honestly we have no idea where we should be staying. I'm assuming Atlanta likes to party...

Stay where Axl stays - Loews Midtown (stayed there to audition for ACDC), it kind of places you close to everything and not far from the MARTA rail station to get you to/from the concert.  Don't stay downtown. It's boring and a homeless persons paradise.

  7. If the band doesn't want to pay Izzy, what makes you think they're going to buy an expensive opener who wants much more than exposure to a GNR audience.   For those of you who will be seeing Chris Stapelton as the opener, you are in for a treat.  I saw him recently in San Antonio and it was damn good.

@Eddie Money should open for them!

I've been calling for Chris Stapelton in the southern cities and I got my wish for Nashville.  Best opener on the tour!  I hope slash comes out and plays with him.  He's a great singer with a bluesy voice.  Maybe Eddie will be the first opener for the quick 20 minute set.

I'm more surprised ACDC isn't a part of it than I am gnr for the reason that gnr came out late 80's versus 70's Rock. Maybe they are trying to not be too metal.

The shows are going to be huge, but imagine if you have a Guns N Roses in your undercard? That could make for something special. However I see the marketing on these shows being about having current popular artist play before the old guys to attract from two different crowds...so expect a Kanye, Taylor Swift, and stuff like that to play undercard here.

It would be cool to see a two day weekend festival with GNR headlining the first night and ACDC headlining the second with two or three well known bands opening each night.

07/03 in Chicago, 07/20 in Boston, 07/24 in NJ and 08/18 in LA are listed on Ticketmaster now.

I knew about Chicago and the potential for a Boston date but had originally heard that there would likely be a New Year's time frame for an LA show.  Glad it's coming sooner.  I hope they all sell-out.

You scared the shit out of me!

Most singers and Hollywood types vote left or at least pretend to if they show any indication of political leanings at all.  i prefer that my favorite band not use the stage to get political.  If I were into that, I would be a Pearl Jam fan or something.

I'll tell you though that every English speaking uber driver I've had here over the past 36 hours has asked me about Mr. Trump.  Questions like "Do you really think he will win?" Or "Are you going to vote for him?"

I want KOHD played the old way. Either that or drop it from the setlist.

The Ritz performance of that song is still my favorite.

I thought I heard him say "Make America Great Again", but I had too many cervesas in me at that point.  I wish I had mainlined alcohol or just not drank beer tonight.  Too crazy of a place to keep trying to go take a piss.
